Read moreAs a family of three with a toddler, we found the Dandy Hotel Daan Branch to be exceptionally accommodating. The hotel provides all the essential amenities needed for a family stay. Our room was cozy yet spacious, featuring a large bathroom, a modern TV, a refrigerator, and a closet ample enough to store our clothes for our five-day visit.
One of the highlights was the complimentary breakfast, which was thoughtfully prepared and balanced. It included a variety of dishes, salads, soups, an assortment of pastries, and a self-service coffee corner. The hotel also has a play area for children, which our toddler absolutely loved. Additionally, the availability of a laundry and dryer area was a great convenience, allowing us to wash our clothes before packing for our departure.
The hotel's location is ideal, situated right across from a wide and clean public park. We thoroughly enjoyed our morning walks and basking in the morning sun. The proximity to the MRT Daan Park red line station, just across the street, made transportation very convenient. There are several stores and eateries nearby: a 7-Eleven right below the hotel, a Subway snack bar and a pharmacy across the street, Dream Restaurant just a couple of buildings away, an authentic coffee shop, and a breakfast carinderia in front of the hotel that serves the best sandwiches in the district.
Our stay at Dandy Hotel Daan Branch was wonderful, and we will definitely consider staying here again. We highly recommend this hotel to our family, friends, and various Facebook groups and chats.
We are so happy with our...
Read moreLovely park and not far from great dining for lunch or dinner. The park is a fine example of how the public loves its open spaces in the middle of a dense population. There is easy access to the subway, cabs are everywhere, and you can meet a lot of nice people. It is a great place to walk. There are lots of clean bathrooms.
As a forester I was a bit surprised that they were blowing the leaves off the ground. The leaves of many of the trees probably do not break down easily into organic litter. It seemed to me that some of the trees were stressed and the soil could use aerating. Adding a mulch layer might be a good idea. With the heavy rains in Taipei from time to time soils will get compacted unlike they might at Heng Chun way to the south.
Taiwan is a great place to visit and should get more tourists. The food in so many restaurants is inexpensive and delicious. This park is a great place to go to walk off after eating a big meal. It is a great place to take a friend or family member in a wheel chair.
The day we were there the sun was out and all was right with the world. Enjoy The Republic of China. I wish they'd change the name to The Republic of Taiwan... but that is my...
