Dolamanco Hotel — Hotel in Taipei

This hotel was very handy with luggage – just leave exit 6 at Daan Park station and turn left and it’s a few buildings away. It has frosted doors on the entrance. Reception was very friendly, but with 7 floors and only one lift you might have to wait a while to get up and down. The room floor is laminate wood and had a good size double bed and very good air con, two stool and a prop-up table by the window. There was a fridge, flats creen TV, tea and coffee making facilities and black-out curtains. The 7th floor was also very quiet.||||The bathroom was shower only, but there was a small wardrobe (a rarity in Taiwanese hotels) and other storage space too in drawers and cupboards – a big bonus for this hotel but nowhere to open up a suitcase (like other Taiwanese hotels!)||||The location is great – it is right by Daan Park station. I had a 1000 departing flight, so lleft the hotel at 0600 and took the MRT to the airport no problem. Breakfast is on the 8th floor in a small room – it is very basic: toast, pre-fried eggs, cold ham, coffee machine, etc. Basic but fine. There are 7-11s nearby...

Great place and great location since it's located right next to the station and there are many eateries and a 7 11 right beside it. There's also a huge park called da an park right in front of it too if you need somewhere to stretch your legs but dont wanna go too far at night. Service is excellent too, the cute lady staff will greet you every time you return back to the hotel. There's also free snacks and coffee at the waiting area. The rooms are big and spacious, toilet comes with all the toiletries that you need eg toothbrush, towel, razor. It also has the japanese toilet bowl with the butt spray as well which is a huge plus imo.All in all i really enjoyed my stay in this hotel and if im coming back to taipei, this will be my top pick for a place to stay.

Update: i accidentally left my stuff animal toy in the room after i checked out and i thought i wouldn't be getting it back but one of the counter staff Amy was nice enough to send me a email to ask if i would be coming back to retrieve it. The staffs are extremely friendly and approachable. They were even quick to get ready the room before my arrival.

Pros -Super friendly and helpful staffs, including cleaning attendant. -Spacious room, bathroom -High resolution TV, with TV box to watch numerous channels, including anime, fox, sports, etc -Great view in front of Daan Park -Directly below there is 7-11 located conveniently at Daan Park Mrt, with direct bus to XMD and other metro Lines -Room comes with breakfast -considerably affordable

Cons -only one lift, very small -breakfast may find disappointing, tried one morning and realised it was already cold and too salty to my liking. Limited choices -uses key to lock room, and a key card to start the power, when they could have just change to a key card door -i could smell people smoking, not sure how it can go into my room, which means poor vent -some may find it a bit run down in terms of the furniture, chipped wood etc
