German colonial architecture combined African, Swahili and European styles. After the First World War the British made it their regional administrative centre. Read moreThis was an interesting visit and I am grateful for the great hospitality. I had a lot of time to take in the knowledge and time to take pictures as well. The Iringa Boma is only a 3 minutes walk from the clock tower and offers a great history of Iringa and its people. Also on the top floor you can buy a beautiful woven basket and support the ladies that pour their hearts out into doing this.
