DO NOT COME HERE!!! Blatant discrimination towards anyone that even looks foreign. Look carefully at their pricing and notice that they write the Thai price in Thai next to the foreign prices written in English. They will charge you more than double. I recently moved to Thailand to be with my family. I am half Thai on my father's side. I am in the process of getting my Thai ID card but came here on a trip with my family with all of my young neices and nephews, all who are Thai. As I am half Thai, my eye colour is unfortunately different to my family. The lady on the counter wearing pink had decided that she would discriminate against my whole family of over 10 people and not allow us in just because my eye colour is different. Saying it's their policy to check everyone's ID card but only chose to check the people that looked half half. Not even checking my other family that are with me that look fully thai. If it's your policy wouldn't you check everybody???? My neices and nephews ended up crying as they left so disappointed they couldn't go to this place. But we will not stand for such treatment. Being half half, we have a lot of friends both foreign and Thai and we will be sure to tell them not to come here!!! The lady was so rude to us even while my neices and nephews were crying as they had to leave she continued to berate us!!!! We will never recommend this...
Read moreWe didn't do our research in advance and assumed this was a "serious" art gallery. However it's a 2d cafe and museum of illusions! We had lots of fun and snapped some great pics! The lounge illusion was missing its sofas 🤔. Unfortunately the instructions for using the AR app (which is awesome if you know how and it's working properly) were missing from their allocated spot, so we didn't get the full experience. It was also disappointing that, even though we were the only people in at the time, none of the staff offered to take photos of us so that we could be in some shots together (in a different museum of illusions there are staff available for exactly that purpose). The 2d cafe is pretty cool, and Latte the cat is gorgeous and loved a scruff when she's in the mood. ❤️ However the cafe appears to offer only coffee and brownies (even though we were there at 10am in the morning). The admission and cafe prices are a little high, but we're pleased we ended up here. It...
Read moreThis is an amazing experience and something that you shouldn’t miss when you visit Chiang Mai! We were enthralled by the amazing 3 dimensional artwork and spent a lot of time posing for photos in some really fun ways in front of so many of the murals and in the upside down rooms. If you are interested in an art experience like no other, then this is for you! There are guides posted to show you how to get the bed photos, but we just experimented until we got the “right” shot. It was not busy when we were there on a weekday afternoon. I would recommend avoiding the busier times to avoid having to wait for your photos. Also, whether you are going alone or with a friend or spouse, take some sort of tripod or camera stand for your phone or your SLR camera. We did not have one along with us (that was a mistake!) and we didn’t have any way of taking photos together. The entry fee is nominal, and it’s worth the trip out of the old town area to see this...
