Check-in was very friendly, as were the staff. At first glance, everything seemed fine when we arrived in the room. After a while, we wanted to take a shower. There was no hot water. We called the front desk and politely asked if we could light a fire in the bathroom because there was no hot water. Someone was supposed to come in a minute to check. So we called the front desk again after 10 minutes and were told that there had been no hot water on the 8th floor for two days. We asked to be given a different room, so another "1 minute." The other room and the other floor had an electric instantaneous water heater. That's all well and good, but hot water only came from the shower, not from the tap. To get wet, you had to run around under the showerhead. That was okay. Since you also had to do your business in the bathroom, there was no toilet paper. So we had to wait another "1 minute." After we were finally finished, we wanted to discuss everything at the front desk. The hotel was only lightly occupied. When people started to talk quietly, employees kept coming and interrupting. They asked the pretty young lady to please focus on her guests. There were a few other things. The hotel was trying, but there's a lot wrong with management here. The air conditioning units are probably only cleaned once a year, if at all. So you're constantly breathing in this filth, especially at breakfast. I can only say one thing: we left the hotel a day early, even though we paid full price for...
Read moreBooked an airbnb located next to this hotel which turned out to be vike. Popped into Coco beach and from the start the staff were friendlt and helpful. We chose a family room (2 bedrooms with a kingsize in one and twin beds in the other) and a little living/dining room with full size fridge, sink and kettle. Very quiet location despite being on the beach road. Jontien beach is just over the road and has beach loungers and brollies and bars. Beach lovely and sea clear and ok to swim. Breakfast came with the room and was great, huge selection. Only cpmment was not much vegan food but to be fair I didnt ask and sure if I had they woukd have catered. Their pool with sunken bar was so nice we hardly spent any time on the beach! The staff are amazing, always there, always friendly and helpful. Always someone on shift that can speak English which really helps! Peacefull but right in the heart of things. Copuple or family friendly with the wilder Pattaya 20 mins in a cab away if thats your thing. 5 mins walk from Jontien night market. At ÂĢ35 for a double room and ÂĢ75 for our big family suite its a fabulous deal. Would highly recommend and well be back! Thankyou to every member of staff, you are all...
Read moreThe location is good. Close to the beach and away from the crowd. However, one of their staff is horriblely out of their line. 11pm at night, i tried to return my second room key that i placed a 1000 baht deposit for, took me awhile to find the reciept and i ask them once if they can refund my money with the reciept. She said no, which i understand. Took me another minute to locate the receipt, but when she took the receipt from me, she cussed at me in thai. That is very unacceptable, and i ask her quickly what she said. All she said was, "Nothing." Not to mention that they are in supervisor role in the hotel. Thankful my friend with me can speak Thai so she told me what she said. I will not go back to the hotel anymore and would not recommend the hotel to anyone. I think it is the worst experience I had in thailand. No respect for their customers. One employee ruins all...
