This beach? A hidden gem that deserves way more hype than it gets. If you’re over the tourist-packed Pattaya beaches and want clear turquoise water, soft white sand, and actual peace — Tien Beach is the move.

Why it’s a 5-star banger:

Water clarity = 10/10. We’re talkin’ glass-level transparency. Perfect for a lazy float, casual swim, or just vibing in the shallows.

Chill vibes only. It’s quieter than Tawaen or Samae Beach, so you’re not battling for sand space. Great for couples, solo chillers, or small squads just wanting to unplug.

Stunning scenery. That long wooden walkway along the rocks? Pure IG material. Also, you’re surrounded by palm trees and lush green cliffs. Literal desktop wallpaper energy.

What hits different:

Beach chairs and umbrellas available, but not pushy vendors ruining your nap every 2 minutes.

A few cute cafés and food stalls with Thai snacks, fresh coconuts, and even some halal-friendly bites if you know where to look.

Affordable and accessible — just take the ferry or speedboat from Pattaya to Koh Larn, then hop a tuk-tuk or rent a bike to get to Tien.

Pro tips:

Visit early morning or on a weekday for full chill.

Bring snorkeling gear if you have it — water’s clear enough to spot fish even close to shore.

Sunscreen, shades, and a portable speaker = elite beach kit.

Don’t rush — spend at least a few hours to let the chill vibes...

Tienara Beach is one of the most popular beaches on Koh Larn – easy to reach by motorbike or shared taxi (around 30 THB from the harbor). The beach is wide, sandy and generally clean, with turquoise water that’s great for a swim.

What I liked: there are plenty of restaurants and drink options, shaded sunbeds for rent at fair prices, and in the far end you find a more relaxed atmosphere. It’s also a hotspot for photos – many visitors come here just for that. You can buy clothes, snorkeling gear or beach accessories directly on site, and there’s also a range of activities like jet ski rides. Prices are overall reasonable for a busy tourist beach.

What broke the magic: constant boat traffic bringing in day tourists from Pattaya – sometimes leaving a heavy diesel smell. And the toilets: although there’s an attendant and a small fee (10 THB), they were not cleaned at all, extremely dirty and simply unpleasant.

Overall: not a secret or quiet retreat, but if you accept the crowds and pick your spot wisely, you can still enjoy some beautiful island vibes and a refreshing few...

Tien Beach on Koh Larn, Pattaya, is a tropical paradise that left me breathless with its pristine beauty. The crystal-clear waters of the Gulf of Thailand lapped gently against the powdery white sand, creating a postcard-perfect scene. The beach offers an array of thrilling water activities that cater to every adventurer's heart. From jet skiing to parasailing, the options are endless. The clear water enhances the experience, allowing you to witness vibrant marine life beneath the surface.

One highlight is the availability of speed boats, providing an exhilarating ride along the coastline. The adrenaline rush as the boat speeds over the azure waters is truly unmatched. The operators ensure safety while delivering an unforgettable adventure.

The beach is well-maintained, with clean facilities and a relaxed atmosphere. Whether you're a thrill-seeker or a nature lover, Tien Beach has something for everyone. The mesmerizing combination of clear waters and the excitement of speed boats makes it a must-visit destination for those seeking an unforgettable beach...

I decided on a boat trip to this beach as i had read good things about this beach. The tour per boat was good, and the people organising the transfer were nice, untill the pick up, but thats for another review..... The beach was quiet during the time of my attendance, early september, and the weather was surprisingly good for the first time since i had been in Thailand..... It is a perfect place to excape the busy vibes of Pattaya city and there are sunbeds and restaurants for some hydration and a nice lunch..... I came here to make photos and i found some areas to be somewhat littered with bottles and other garbage, which always annoys me when wanting to make photos.... My photos are not representative of how it is, as i have used a shutterspeed of 7 minutes, so it seems nobody is there, but this was not the case....
