I first came to Sinbi in 2013 and after four years was really looking forward to the new, upgraded Sinbi. I had a FANTASTIC time in 2013 and I really wanted to love my time here, having waited four years for it. I was sorely disappointed. The training is simply not the same anymore, and trainers don't really care about you unless you get private sessions. Their prices are inflated by a significant margin - for six weeks, the amount they charge for accommodation is more than 12000THB higher than much better accommodation just a few minutes walk down the road. The prices for training are also very high - we paid for four weeks of training but got injured (badly) at the very beginning and could only go about four or five days. They ended up refunding us part of the money, but overall we paid 8500THB for basically a week of training. A private session is 700THB, where most other places are much less. Meanwhile, the owner drives around in a brand new Mercedes 4x4. The actual training itself - in 2013, the warm-up was shorter, and you were given more time for actual training. Now, the warm up etc takes half an hour. Also, I can confirm that during shadow-boxing and in general my girlfriend received significant levels of attention from several male trainers, while I was left to my own devices. During my time in the ring, I had several different trainers (which is weird since in 2013 I only had one during the entire six weeks - I suppose they stopped caring once they realised I wouldn't be getting private sessions). The oldest, Bao, was FANTASTIC, well able to adapt to individual needs and abilities (although even he tried to get me to buy tickets to a fight at inflated prices). The others, especially the youngest one, was absolutely useless and repeated the exact same combo over and over again. Being injured didn't help, and maybe I had built up unrealistic expectations after looking forward to it for so long, but Sinbi was an absolute disappointment and I highly doubt I'll...

I trained here for 2 weeks in July 2016. The facilities could do with a clean, the gym needs a really good scrub. The gear is average for the expensive price I paid to train there. It's probably the most expensive gym around. There is a weights training area which could do with a few more things, like perhaps body resistance training, and a couple of treadmills. The trainer I had for a private session was a bit over the top regarding friendliness, otherwise his knowledge in muay thai training was good. Some of the Sinbi trainers were more interested in seeing who could hook up with girls, myself included which became quite annoyingly unprofessional for ladies. Thankfully, I realised quickly that the older male trainers are the ones who actually teach women properly, so stay clear of the young trainers because they're either lazy or they want something more. The staff are alright, their service was average. Don't come here if you're after small classes, attentive trainers, or enthusiast staff. The classes are very big, you'll be treated like a number at times and you may not get a much learning without buying a private lesson.
**Gear was old and tattered. **Trainers were good. Some were very knowledgeable. Some more interested in girls. **Expensive training. **Scooter price probably the cheapest around, and that'll be for the older models. **Office staff were average in...
Read moreI am relatively new to Muay Thai and cannot express how grateful I am that I got to train at Sinbi. Everyone there is so kind and the trainers helped me improve so much in my 2 months there. The gym is huge with lots of equipment and they do an excellent job of managing big classes even when there are lots of people. I really appreciate that they give the same amount of attention and care to beginners that they do to their fighters - it's easy to feel at home there 🥹 In a typical group class, you run for about 10 minutes, stretch do shadowboxing, pad work, bag work, technique and/or clinching, conditioning (usually sit ups & push ups), and stretching again. You also have the option of sparring while others do bag work. The trainers all try to get a sense of your level and provide a great mix of feedback and energy to keep your cardio in check. Plus, every kru has their own style so it's fun to work with different people on the pads! I also want to mention that I took several private sessions with Kru Dew and not only had so much fun every time, but also received lots of great advice and practice that helped me improve. Thank you, Dew! Overall, I recommend Sinbi to absolutely anyone looking to learn Muay Thai for the first time or improve their skills or train professionally. It's an excellent gym that so many people choose...
