Update: Answer to a feedback from the restaurant. Tips must be optional but you forced me to pay it without any choice (obligatory tips in spite of my unsatisfaction). So it is the first trap, isn't it? You waitress "attacked" me with the special offer and I was not able to read a menu because of that (and read info about obligatory tips). So it is a second trap, isn't it? I just shared my opinion about your place. I was fooled by positive feedbacks...unfortunately.

Nice place, in general. However I have two negative points against this place. The first TRAP is with special dishes. Waitress will bring a pad with seafood and you will get only one type of seafood because of unclear language of waitress (So do not accept proposal with special dish). A second trap - Tips already included in your bill even you are not happy with service. So you should read the bill carefully. Bottom line: Do not listen waitress! Backgroung: I asked her if we can share special dish with my kid... Waitress told me "Yes. Yes" even she understand that I will be hungry (really small portion - 1 crab). I will not return...

Best Thai Food In Phuket -- Can't believe it took me 4 years to discover this gem!

There are good restaurants, and then there are FANTASTIC RESTAURANTS. Red Duck is an AWESOME RESTAURANT.

For me it's all in the details.

The owner and his team are exceptional. Friendly. Helpful and super efficient.

The food is fresh, beautiful and incredibly tasty... and I love that they don't use MSG or frozen foods and that they provide brown rice (so hard to find in Thailand).

It's details like this that set Red Duck apart from the rest.

The restaurant space itself is intimate, modern, cosy and well conditioned with AC, ambient music and subtle lighting.

...and for those that like it outdoors? The terrace is a nice space for a drink and meal... well lit, and set back from the road.

Having lived in Phuket for 4 years, I only just discovered this gem of a restaurant a few weeks ago, and have been back 4 times since -- I'm making up for the past 4 years you see ;)

Red Duck has now become my go-to restaurant.... I can't wait to visit again to try their Homemade Blueberry...

Lovely! If you drive too fast (not the case in the area) you will miss the place, too bad for you. A place not to be missed at least because of the kitchen. Excellent plating, burst of flavours and real quality ingredients. Vegan chapter of the menu is a BLESSING. Not using MSG is a great VALUE in when unfortunately MSG is kitchen friendly in still so many restaurants. Value is higher then most restaurants around but still fair acording with food quality. Not a great sight scene (local road in front) but who cares, plate scene is just enough! Service friendly and attendive. Service charge 10%, should be awared on the menu somewhere anyway and recommended as optional, just to be fair otherwise we will think is an "extra VAT". Anyway the venue remains a very competitive place to visit. Will go again. P. S. Errata: Visiting again tonight, I have noticed on the bottom of each page announcement about 10%. So fair enough. I apologise for mistake.

P.S. 1, 2, 3: Keept on visiting the place again and again during our vacation and maintain our opinion. Red Duck is well...
