Sam Chuk Market in Suphanburi is like stepping into a living postcard from the past. This 100 year old riverside market still holds its old wooden shopfronts, narrow alleyways, and an atmosphere that makes you feel you have slipped into another era. The charm here is not just in the history, it is in the way the locals greet you, the smell of traditional snacks cooking, and the sound of old Thai music playing from the shops. Every corner is packed with stalls selling unique items, from handcrafted goods to quirky collectibles you will not find in a modern mall. It is the kind of place you explore slowly, coffee in hand, just taking in the little details.
The food alone is worth the trip. Think classic Thai sweets, freshly grilled satay, old style iced coffee, and even some rare local delicacies you probably will not see outside of Suphanburi. The prices are fair, and you get that authentic “no rush, just enjoy” vibe from every vendor. For photographers, this place is a dream as every turn offers a shot of vintage wooden architecture or a colourful food stall. If you are looking for a market that is more about experience and history than bargain hunting, Sam Chuk is one of those gems that makes you appreciate slowing down and soaking up Thailand’s...

If you have time, there are many boats to bring you visit old mesuim along the river, approx. 50฿ per person. I met the owner of building near the market where is the parking, his bright-blue building is under construcion for the meeting place of senior people over 70+ having some activities with free and providing welcome drink and snack.
