Great secluded beach perfect for swimming. is a slightly wild beach with beautiful coral reefs and great for snorkelling. The beach’s shoreline can get rocky during low tide, which never disappear during high tide.
The area by The Sanctuary resort which is situated here, is perfect for swimming and sunbathing. The resort itself known for its detoxing and retreating programs, Yoga classes and other healing sessions.
Their retreat centre as well as SPA with steam room and massage sessions available for all visitors by pre-booking and the vegetarian beachside restaurant with a bar, where you can get a beer or two if you are not interested in detoxing at all.
A bit further away from the beach there is a restaurant “Spice” that offers traditional thai and sea food.
On the corner of Had Tien beach there is a steep stairway to lead you to Had Yuan beach. This way will lead you to a beautiful hiking trail to one of koh Phangan’s most beautiful view points. Read moreTrekked from Haad Yuan Beach to Haad Thien Beach is a 5-15 minute walk through a really cool path up-and-down one side to the other. You really can't get lost, just follow the coast and take in the fantastic views of the ocean, huts along the way and lush greenery.
Along the way, you will find Eden's Garden and dependent on the time of the day, may be able to stop there for a drink. If not, you can walk down to Haad Thien Beach, where there are a really yummy restaurant and bar overlooking the ocean at the closer end of the beach. You can't miss it; as it's literally on end of the beach you will walk past on route.
You wouldn't necessarily go there for the beach; as Haad Yuan is much better with fewer rocks and shells, but it's unmistakably worth checking out if you have the time available to do so.
