As a foreign visitor, my experience at KidZania Istanbul was far from what I had hoped for. While the concept of the park seems fun and educational, there were several factors that made it a frustrating and expensive experience.
First and foremost, the pricing was ridiculous. The tickets are exorbitantly high, especially for what you get in return!! Evenmore, as a foreigner you pay higher ://. Not only is the entry fee expensive, but you also have to buy "KidZos" (KidZania’s in-house currency) to engage in various activities, and these are priced like they’re made of gold. At the end of the day, I felt like I was being nickel-and-dimed for every little thing.
Moreover, as a foreigner, the experience was even more disappointing. The park is mostly geared towards Turkish-speaking children, and while there are some staff who can speak basic English, it was clear that the majority of the activities and interactions were aimed at locals. This language barrier made many activities feel awkward and confusing for my child and me. As a foreigner in a popular international destination, I expected a more inclusive environment, with better facilities for non-Turkish-speaking visitors.
The overall experience didn’t feel as immersive as advertised. While the activities are meant to be fun and educational, many of them felt rushed, poorly managed, or even closed for no apparent reason. It’s not uncommon to encounter long wait times, and it quickly became clear that the staff wasn’t very helpful when it came to guiding us through the experience.
In short, KidZania Istanbul was a huge letdown. The high prices, lack of support for foreign visitors, and underwhelming experience left us feeling disappointed. For what it costs, there are much better, more enjoyable and inclusive options in Istanbul for families with young children. Would not recommend it for...
Read moreAs Özcan put it very well: When I arrived there in Sabah, he loved us very much and made sure we had everything. He really took the time to treat us like VIP customers, it was probably some of the best service I've ever received. When we got downstairs, I must admit that I was very confused and worried about how my two children, ages 6 and 8, would understand Turkish without translation. I talked to Özcan and he solved this problem immediately, provided personnel and took us around. A staff whose name I did not know stood next to us and did not allow us to assist us in all activities. Özcan kept coming by to make sure we were okay for the 5 hours we were there. She kept me company and spoke to the staff on my behalf and made our stay 100 percent better. He told us about the special dance and the mascot, and guided us on what to do with the remaining money. Honestly Özcan made the extra money we spent to extend our trip worth it. Because of you, I recommend everyone who doesn't speak Turkish to approach him. He will take care of you as if he owes you this job. Well done sir, thank you to the company and thank you to the staff who used Google translate and the lad who followed us everywhere. Besides the great customer feedback, the entertainment was amazing; It was real like pizza making, money management, chocolate making, pizza and real learning activities. I initially thought it was expensive but I realized you can put a price on it. A must for...
Read moreI haven’t been here for 7 years. This time I went with my 5 year old. The place is almost the same but the employees are not happy and kid friendly. I have talked with different parents and many had problems. I hope they read the reviews. This really used to be a nicr place but now just the branding is left. years ago there was another in Trump Tower that was actually the first one, and the competition make Kidzania better. With no competition they just run the place. They get a lot of money so the kids ned to see happy faces. The activities are best for 6-8 years old. After 10 it wont be fun. I had my niece 12 and she didn’t really enjoy a lot. She is taller for her age and when she enters all the time they questioned her before entering.
For some activities they have age limits of 6-7 for instance pilot. For the Biskrem biscuit there is a line and after the kids are done they close for cleaning and preparation about 10 minutes. They could have make these waiting periods for effective. And there is a garden upstairs and we entered there first and my son want to go there again but the lady changed and said it is till 4 years old. But there was no kids doing the activity and they let him do it before so it is not nice sorry you cannot do it this time. I would understand if there were other kids but not letttig him do it when there was no kids. The employees don’t like to work...
