Karataş Plajı — Attraction in Fethiye

It used to always be Turkish people and fisher men that went there, hardly ever saw westerners. They used to through their filth and fag ends everywhere, but you could usually find a little space in between the muck. However, me and the husband prefer beaches to have little or no facilities and definitely no bands /bars /music, we used to go here to chill out and get away from the masses. That's another place crossed off our list. Been coming to this area since 1983, sadly think this will now be our last ever year to Turkey. All the little places we loved have been ruined, including Kapatas beach. Plus the ridiculous cost of holiday insurance now...

This beach wasnt the best one, but the staff & food are worth mentioning. The chicken shish and drinks were great. I showed them how to make a sangria with mixed fruit and wine. The beach chairs were reasonable and its easy to access. We look the local çalış beach bus to the end and then grabbed a cab...

Fethiye’nin gözlerden uzak, doğal güzelliğini koruyabilmiş nadir koylarından biri olan Karataş Plajı, sakinlik arayanlar için harika bir kaçış noktası. Karataş Plajı'na ulaşım biraz zahmet istese de, varınca bu emeğin karşılığını fazlasıyla veriyor. Tesis bulunmadığı için ziyaretçilerin hazırlıklı gelmesi gerekiyor; ancak bu durum, plajın doğallığını ve huzurlu atmosferini korumasını sağlıyor. Özellikle kalabalık plajlardan uzak durmak isteyenler için Karataş, Fethiye’nin az bilinen ama kesinlikle keşfedilmesi gereken saklı...
