Ladies beach is a stunning, pristine beach located only a few minutes from downtown Kusadasi. It is a heaven for those that are looking for a relaxing spot to sunbathe, splash in the crystal clear cool waters or take part in water sports. Ladies beach is a well known attraction to both the local and international visitors for decades. The Turkish name Kadınlar Denizi (Women's Sea) comes from the historical usage of the beach during the Ottoman period, when only women were allowed to swim there. It is home to many amenities, restaurants, cafes, bars, pubs. Besides, it is a true shoppers’ heaven. You can find a wide array of shops here to buy souvenirs, unique clothing pieces, jewelry or leather garments. There are many hotels located here for tourists to truly enjoy everything that Ladies Beach has to offer. On the beach there are sunbeds and shades available for hire for a small fee. Here, you can use shower facilities, changing cabins and toilets free of charge. There are supermarkets available nearby if you need to...
Read moreI wouldn't recommend this beach to anyone looking for a relaxing day by the sea. The beach itself is extremely dirty and overcrowded to the point of being unbearable. People are eating all kinds of food right on the beach – from grilled fish to greasy burek – and leaving behind a mess, including sunflower seed shells scattered all over the sand. On top of that, cigarette butts are everywhere – people just toss them straight into the sand without a second thought.
Despite the fact that the water is actually beautiful and very clean, the overall experience is ruined by the chaos on the shore. There’s absolutely no organization – it feels like everyone is sitting on top of each other.
Umbrellas are available, but for around 5 euros you get a torn, uncomfortable umbrella that hardly provides any shade.
In short, no matter how nice the sea is, it’s just not worth coming here. The lack of basic cleanliness, order, and respect for the shared space makes the entire experience frustrating and...
Read moreI came in May before the summer crowds and came back in late June in the middle of the busy season and I had a great experience both times here besides the toilets being so dirty they were unusable. The sand is littered with cigarette butts, but you cannot escape this in Türkiye. As for the water, it is so beautiful and mostly clean. Some days there is more seaweed than other days and some days there are strong waves. There are lifeguards on duty during daytime. Ladies Beach is free of charge and if you get there early enough you can enjoy free beach chairs and umbrellas. If you are staying in the area for more than a couple days, it recommend purchasing chairs and umbrellas from Migros so you don’t have to worry about getting there at a certain time. You can also bring food and drinks as you please. In June, the beach club was open and I paid 800-1000tl for access. The beach club included shower, clean bathroom, beach chair, as many umbrellas as you want, and food/drink service for...
