Had a good experience here. We visited museum on a Sunday afternoon (1st week of Sep '24) -Located in Khalifa Park -Entrance fees is AED 5/- which covers both museum and park. It has gymnasium as well just adjacent to the left side of the museum entrance door. -Once you enter then turn right side it has main hall, robot doll will explain the country's history and culture in brief. Then take a ride (coordinator will guide you) , which will take through tm the past till the present development of the UAE culture. Ride takes appx. 10mins to finish. It's slow and steady. 4 seater. Once you finish the ride take the lift to go 1st floor for the Aquarium and then exit. -overall time spent inside the museum was appx. 35mins. Washroom available
Overall okay experience to spent time with family and kids to know the...
Read moreI was very disappointed with the experience for my kids. We went on an August weekend, so maybe it wasnt well maintained in the summer? The museum was mostly a one time ride. Great narration, but it was so dark we could hardly make out any of the exhibits. Being dark is a theme. The aquarium part most of the tanks were either dark or empty. I think I counted a total of 7 fish in the whole aquarium. Great potential. I guess for 5 AED you cant expect too much, but at least turn some more lights on. I would advise to go when it is cooler to take advantage of the outside park more. I think we spent a total of 30 min in the museum and aquarium, and we were going...
Read moreThis 5 AED experience is as strange as the history of the country. Compared to the other buildings/bridges/islands that received tons of money, this museum feels so far behind. It's a minimalist history summed up by a 15min tour on an unnecessary indoor cable car system watched over by a sad turtle in the "aquarium". I'm surprised that AD officials would allow the history of the emirates to be honored as previously as a run down back office of a government building in the 1960s. Still worth a quick visit, especially before of after being blinded by the white marble of the grand...
