(12/10) After two weeks being in an appartement in Kalifa City, I called Mina from the hotel sales, that I would like to come back. Two weeks without the friendly people, without the services like the swimming pool and the horrible things I had to encounter in Kalifa city, I started to realise how great it is in this hotel.
In my review below I wrote that I was angry at the hotel management. I even met the general manager and spoke to her, and also she is a good woman with warm feelings for her staff. She wanted to know every detail what happened and why I left. She really cares. Glad to be back ;)
(13-9) At the 13th of July 2025 I landed in Abu Dhabi and checked in the hotel Park Rotana. After staying a month I wrote the review below. Tomorrow I will check out, with pain in my heart! In that review I mentioned three people that made me feeling very welcome and they still do, every day. I would like to mention three other people: Inam, manager of the restaurant, Sanax, making every meal great, in the morning my coffee and orange jus are already at my table where I normally will sit and Michael, the cook, "Ill make you happy" and he makes my eggs the way I like it, without me having to tell him how I like them. He knows, because he cares!
When I wrote this review in August, within 24 hours the management reacted and thanked me for the review. What they don't do when I am not so happy about things and that makes this review so double.
The people working in the hotel are amazing, however the management should be at the top of their game as well! Nothing is for granted and they should put all their energy in it, in the same way their staff is doing. Although I know that the management is aware of my dissatisfactions, in a week time they didn't find the time to reach out to me, so I decided to leave the hotel, however with pain in my heart!
So my score stays the same as my last score, because it mentions room, service and location, however if I could score the general management it would have been two stars!
(13-8) I am currently a guest at this hotel because my new employer is located very nearby. As such, I don’t need a car I can easily walk to and from work. For all other destinations, I use very flexible and affordable taxis, which are readily available.
Besides the fact that I feel truly welcome in this country in general, I especially want to highlight the warm hospitality of the staff at this hotel. While I appreciate the efforts of everyone working here, there are three individuals I’d like to mention in particular.
First, Ibrahim at the reception. I first spoke to him while I was still in the Netherlands, before moving to Abu Dhabi. He was kind, professional, and did everything he could to assist me from a distance. When I finally arrived at the hotel, he remembered me, greeted me by name, and made me feel instantly welcome.
At the restaurant, the atmosphere is just as warm. Tinashe is always friendly, attentive, and open to a pleasant conversation, making each meal a comfortable experience. I also want to commend Rajesh, who prepares a variety of delicious international and local dishes every day always cooked to perfection.
I could go on at length, but this is something best experienced firsthand. The hospitality and service here go beyond expectations, and I feel truly at home.

I’m writing this review out of sheer frustration and disappointment following my recent experience at Park Rotana—but also to sincerely recognize the two individuals who completely changed the course of my stay.
I had a confirmed Agoda booking and, to avoid any issues, I proactively contacted the hotel multiple times on the day of arrival to confirm it. Each time, I was told no booking had been received. Upon arrival, I was met by the booking manager, Mr. Murad, whose handling of the situation was disappointing. Instead of providing clarity or support, I was left waiting for hours without any solution. To make things worse, I was told the rate I booked was “meant for Chinese guests”—a remark that was not only inaccurate but felt discriminatory and offensive.
As a loyal Rotana member, I expected far better treatment. I was asked to pay again while the issue was being investigated, effectively being charged twice until it could be resolved with Agoda. What should have been a seamless check-in turned into a frustrating and humiliating ordeal.
However, everything changed when Mr. Zakir, upon learning of my situation, immediately reached out to me personally. His concern was genuine, and his quick response showed that he truly valued my experience and was determined to make things right. He ensured that I felt heard, respected, and reassured during what had become a very stressful situation.
Following this, Mr. Ashuk stepped in and took full ownership, making it his priority to follow up on every single detail of my stay. From start to finish, his commitment to guest satisfaction was clear. Thanks to him, I was given an upgraded room, granted club lounge access, and received a complimentary dinner at Ginger Restaurant, all of which I thoroughly enjoyed. His professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail completely transformed my experience.
Because of the humility, responsiveness, and outstanding service demonstrated by Mr. Zakir and Mr. Ashuk, what started as a frustrating visit turned into a genuinely memorable and 5-star experience. Their actions reminded me why I have always trusted the Rotana brand.
A heartfelt thank you to the entire Rotana staff and team as well, who made my stay with my family an awesome experience. From housekeeping to front desk and dining staff—your kindness and hospitality did not go unnoticed.
Thank you, Rotana, for turning a difficult start into a wonderful...
Read moreI would like to share my experience after spending three days at the hotel. Overall, the ambiance was generally pleasant. The hotel enjoys a strategic location at the entrance of Abu Dhabi, making it easily accessible whether you are arriving from outside the city or heading toward its center.
The rooms were clean, well-maintained, and provided a comfortable stay. The health club and swimming pool were also good; the facilities were decent and offered a relaxing atmosphere for guests looking to unwind.
However, I believe there is significant room for improvement in a few key areas:
First, the check-in process was noticeably slow. The front desk is usually staffed by only two employees, which is not sufficient, especially during peak hours when many guests are arriving or seeking assistance. This leads to long waiting times and unnecessary crowding. Increasing the number of reception staff and streamlining the check-in process would greatly enhance the guest experience.
Second, the breakfast service needs improvement. The variety and quality of food items, particularly the Arabic options, were limited. For example, the fava beans dish did not meet expectations in terms of taste or preparation. I would recommend adding more traditional Arabic dishes such as falafel, manakish, fatta, and a wider selection of freshly baked items and cheeses to cater to diverse tastes and improve the overall breakfast offering.
In conclusion, while the hotel offers several good features and facilities, I would personally rate it closer to a four-star level rather than five stars. With improvements in front desk efficiency and food service quality, the hotel has the potential to deliver a more refined and truly...
