If I could give zero stars, I certainly would.
I visited Murjan Splash Park today with my family, hoping for a pleasant experience for my children. Unfortunately, what unfolded was nothing short of a disaster in professionalism, management, and overall quality.
Upon entering, the supervisor insisted my wife wear a shirt over her swimwear—something we respected and complied with immediately. Moments later, he inexplicably approached me, stating that I too was not allowed to be in swim shorts alone and must also wear a t-shirt. When I challenged this by asking him to reference the specific law or rule, his justification shifted into an absurd and deeply offensive claim: that by refusing, I was also refusing to “apply Islamic religion.” Such an accusation is not only false but reflects a complete lack of training, respect, and professionalism.
When pressed, he failed to produce any written rule or signage, eventually resorting to vague excuses until calling his manager—who, regrettably, displayed no more competence than his staff. In the end, I was forced to purchase a poor-quality shirt for AED 25 (worth barely AED 1 at best), simply so my children could enjoy the park. The entire exchange felt like a deliberate attempt to exploit first-time visitors.
As if this were not enough, the facilities themselves are abysmal:
Flies everywhere.
Chairs so filthy and uncomfortable they are unusable.
Water with a visibly unclear color.
Overpowering food odors hanging in the air, creating the atmosphere of a flea market rather than a family park.
Add to this the fact that the park is inconveniently far from the parking area, forcing families to endure an exhausting 8-minute walk in the heat—or pay AED 5 per person for a short golf cart ride, which feels like nothing short of a cash grab.
In summary:
0 professionalism
0 hygiene
0 management
0 added value
0 hospitality
If this park intends to impose dress code rules, they should be clearly stated on Google Maps—not left to arbitrary and offensive interpretations by untrained staff. Otherwise, what’s next—being asked to wear a bow tie in order to access the slides?
Murjan Splash Park is a complete disappointment. My advice: spend your time and...

In winter we can enjoy in heated pools and in summer we can escape from the outside hot weather to the cool pools.. which i felt as the best part... For kids its the best place to enjoy.... Felt that they could have added some more healthy food options in the restaurants too... I do highly recommend it for families especially with kids.. staffs and lifeguards was so friendly and always ready to help.. additionally at the same time you can go and visit khalifa park also, they have cultural library, maritime museum BBQ facilities and all... on winter may be you can visit the water park in the afternoon and you can cook and eat in khalifa park at night time... they do have designated places...
Read moreI feel that it is quite overpriced for what they offer, 70 dirhams for children and 30 for adults even if the adults are not going to play inside the waterpark.
I saw a 5 dirham note on the floor and a employee just pick it up and put in her pocket without trying to figure out the owner of the money.
I saw a baby's nappy full of poo go in the children's poo and the workers are not identifying it. I tried to shout at the life guard to get their attention but they couldn't hear me.
When I went up to pray on the roof, you could see massive rats next to the restaurants at the park, a very disturbing site.
Towards the evening, they have bubble sessions, where they shoot out bubbles to everyone and I don't know what they had in the bubbles but all the kids including me were coughing when the bubbles came close to our faces, like a really harmful odour was coming out of it.
I am not trying to be negative about this waterpark because it has a lot of potential the waterpark play area is great, kids are having fun. It's a nice place but there's a few things that need to be improved. Unfortunately my experience was...
