Just after we visited the Sharjah Aquarium, just a few meters away is one of the most unique museums that I have ever visited. When you enter you can hear Religious singing Allah hu Akbar..Dont know felt very relaxed and calm..Next door to the aquarium is the Sharjah Maritime Museum. This special museum starts outside where they have several original and various old boats. The entrance fees are extremely affordable. What I really enjoyed was reading the well documented details of the past history of the important Maritime trade; Pearl hunting; Fishing industry and the wide assortment of wooden dhows and pearl fishing boats and the sound of Allah hu akbar was very soothing..feeling so calm and relaxed.. Also there were many informative exhibits of the various Diving tools, Fishing equipment and Navigational items all used in the past. Do plan to spend between two to three hours if you really want to gain new and unique information. I feel that you and your family will really enjoy this special museum as much as my family did, trust me on this point.

It is located in al Khan area and one ticket can allow access to Sharjah maritime museum and Sharjah aquarium. It has a lot of details on marine history and heritage, and good to understand on the customs of earlier Sharjah’s residents. Lots of informations on maritime trade & how they lived in marine life such as maps, ancient boats & artifacts. Amazing displays and entire history of wooden dhows, including a full-size pearling boat, along with informations on fishing and diving equipment/tools. Well maintained, well lit and make it interesting to move around everywhere. Availability of WiFi makes it more easier to research more than the key descriptions which are mentioned. Great place for culture & art lover or simply a place who likes to explore.
