An Amazing and Affordable Experience I recently visited the Sharjah Aquarium and was truly mesmerized by the amazing marine life that I encountered. From start to finish, my experience at the aquarium was nothing short of fantastic. Not only was the aquarium clean and well-maintained, but the entry fee was also very affordable, making it an accessible attraction for people of all budgets.

One of the standout features of the Sharjah Aquarium is its incredible range of marine species on display. As I ventured through the exhibits, I was amazed by the sheer diversity of aquatic life that I encountered. From colorful coral reefs teeming with vibrant fish, to majestic rays gliding gracefully through the water, every tank seemed to hold a new and fascinating discovery. The aquarium provides a truly immersive experience, allowing visitors to witness the beauty and wonder of underwater ecosystems up close.

Furthermore, the cleanliness of the aquarium was commendable. The tanks were spotless and well-maintained, creating a pleasant and visually appealing environment. The wellbeing and comfort of the marine life were clearly a top priority, as the tanks provided ample space and appropriate habitats for the different species. I was particularly impressed by the educational displays and accompanying information, which shed light on the importance of marine conservation and the efforts being made by the aquarium in this regard.

What truly sets the Sharjah Aquarium apart is its affordable price. Compared to some other similar attractions, the entry fee was incredibly reasonable, making it an attractive option for families or individuals looking to explore the wonders of the underwater world without breaking the bank. The value for money that the aquarium offers is truly commendable, considering the quality of the experience it provides.

In conclusion, visiting the Sharjah Aquarium was an amazing experience that I would highly recommend. A Hidden Gem Where the Ocean Comes Alive — Peaceful, Beautiful, and Brilliantly Curated

If you’re ever looking for a spot in Sharjah that’s quiet, immersive, and full of natural wonder — Sharjah Aquarium is the place. Not loud. Not overhyped. Just calm beauty, fascinating marine life, and a gentle escape from the noise of daily life.

From the moment you step inside, the atmosphere is cool, clean, and completely calming. The lighting, the layout, the quiet ambient sound of water bubbling through massive tanks — it immediately settles your mood. You’re not rushed. You’re not lost. You’re curious. And that’s exactly the energy this place was designed for.

🐠 The marine life? Stunning. There’s a huge range of creatures — from graceful rays to small reef fish, seahorses, jellyfish, eels, coral, and more. Each tank is spacious, well-lit, and thoughtfully explained. The signs and information panels are detailed but simple, making it perfect for both adults and kids to learn as they walk.

🦈 The layout? Beautifully structured. It flows like a story. You start with smaller exhibits, gradually move through tunnels and larger panoramic tanks, and eventually reach open areas with mangrove life and local sea heritage elements — all organized in a way that feels natural and engaging.

🎓 The educational aspect? Top-tier. This isn’t just a place to see fish — it’s a place to understand Sharjah’s marine environment. The preservation message is clear, respectful, and really well integrated into the design. You walk away learning something without even realizing you were studying.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Family-friendly to the max. There’s space to walk, railings for kids to look safely, and multiple levels to explore without it feeling overwhelming. Plus, the staff is helpful and polite — they genuinely care about the space and it shows.

💸 Price? Extremely fair for the value. For such a well-maintained experience, it’s incredibly affordable and makes for a perfect afternoon plan whether you're a tourist, resident, or just in need of a peaceful outing.

So to sum it up: Sharjah Aquarium is not just about fish — it’s about respect for the sea, quiet exploration, and reconnecting with a part of nature most people overlook.

It doesn’t scream for attention — it...

These aquariums shed light on the lively, mysterious and colorful world of the deep sea. They reflect the diverse marine creatures living in our marine environment. It’s a captivating world encompassing passionately more than (150) species, including the beautiful clownfish, delicate seahorses, moray eels, sea rays and reef sharks. Contemplate the splendor of marine creatures of all sizes in the rocky shores, coral reefs, lagoons and mangroves. Sharjah Aquarium is the first and largest government educational center in UAE. Covering an area of 6500 m², it consists of two floors equipped with 20 aquariums, filled with 1.8 million liters of water. The Sharjah Aquarium decided to set up a marine nature reserve in 2009 where protectors and volunteers work hand in hand to protect it, making it a safe habitat for fish to grow and reproduce, and a suitable environment for coral reefs growth. The need to set up such a marine nature reserve appeared after the global increase in marine pollution, the severity of marine environmental damages caused by harmful behaviors and activities (such as overfishing, oil spill and land reclamation), the plummeting numbers of fish and coral reefs after destroying their natural habitat and the destruction of many mangrove forests, which are considered one of the most important factors in the conservation of marine environment. Through this marine nature reserve, Sharjah Aquarium seeks to raise awareness about the importance of the marine environment and how to protect it. #copied

Sharjah Aquarium offers a captivating journey into the underwater world, making it a must-visit destination for marine life enthusiasts. Spread over two floors, the aquarium features more than 20 large tanks, each housing a diverse collection of marine species. Visitors can marvel at the vibrant coral reefs, playful clownfish, majestic rays, and even small sharks. The environment is family-friendly and educational, with detailed information provided about the marine ecosystems and their importance to our planet. The design of the aquarium creates an immersive experience, with dim lighting and clear glass tanks that allow you to feel as though you’re part of the ocean. There's also a strong emphasis on marine conservation and awareness. In addition to its marine displays, the aquarium is located near Al Khan Lagoon, providing picturesque views and a chance to explore the nearby Sharjah Maritime Museum. I visited Sharjah aquarium on a weekend and it was not crowded, with decent amout of people. The entrance is 25 AED + 5 AED tax. First you'll be greeted with photographer who will capture 3D pictures with various backdrops which can be purchased later (optional). Then the journey will begin. It's takes like 1.5 to 2hrs if you're reading the etymology/anatomy. This is such an interesting place for the kids as well, there were sharks, stingray, and starfish (you can touch it) which I found very interesting. There's also a screen where you can play games related to the anatomy of fish and sharks. To top it of, a cafe is located near the exit where you can grab a quick snack or drink. Overall I would rate this place a 5/5 for it's atmosphere, customer service, and ambience. Must visit if you're in Sharjah.
