I visited this place yesterday, and my experience was very bad. It ruined my entire day.
Upon entering, I encountered five staff members (three women and two men). One of them, presumably a security guard, noticed a 500ml bottle of water in my child's bag. Even before we entered, he told me, 'Sir, water is not allowed.' I acknowledged this and was discussing with my wife as they required us to scan a QR code and fill out registration details, which I didn't understand the need for. The guard repeated, 'Water is not allowed inside.' Again, I told him, 'Okay.' Then, he went to another staff member outside and whispered about the water bottle I had. All this happened before we even paid to enter or got close to the gate.
Then, the other staff member approached me and asked, 'Sir, can I check your bag?' This was ridiculous because both staff members were within two meters of me, and we could hear each other. I told him, 'I know, I have a bottle of water. When we enter, you can take it or charge me for it.' He then had the bright idea to suggest I empty the bottle into another child's water bottle.
At this point, I gave up. I told my wife, 'Let's go. Are we criminals for carrying a 500ml bottle of water?' The treatment was so bad. All this happened before we even registered or paid. It felt like they wanted to kick us out before we entered.
This happened in front of five staff members, none of whom apologized or tried to resolve the issue. We left the place. Dubai is full of entertainment venues. If this happened due to management's policies, it's really shameful. People in Dubai offer free cold water outside their villas, and yet this place causes such a fuss over a small bottle of water.
Who would think that someone entering and paying 300 or 400 AED would care about a small bottle of water? If this was done without management's knowledge, they need to know they have the wrong people at the gate. Treatment like this will spoil your reputation. I will never come to this place again and have already shared this story with my friends. You can check the cameras; this happened on Sunday at around 10:55 am. None of the staff apologized, even when I told them I was going to write this review.
I had a similar experience once at Dubai airport and once at Toronto airport. In both places, security allowed us one bottle per child. Once, at Dubai airport, an officer asked me to just open the bottle and drink from it, and then allowed me to go without the cap. If the airport, with stringent security, can handle it like this, why can't an entertainment place?
My wife was at Wild Wadi, and she told me a security guard saw a water bottle in our child's stroller and just said, 'Madam, water is not allowed for next time,' but he allowed her to pass without checking any bags.
I wasted my time writing this long review because, as a business owner, I appreciate knowing about problems in my company. If the owner is unaware, they deserve to know. If they instructed this, should understand the treatment visitors might receive at...
Read moreThis happened more than one time, upon arriving there the staff at the counter greeted me with a very unwelcome attitude saying (we’re closing in a bit so are you sure you want to come?) it was 7:25 PM and the closing is at 9:00 PM! If my kids haven’t seen the water park yet I would have left immediately and wouldn’t come back again! However I didn’t want to break my kids heart by leaving after driving all the way from Fujairah, moving on I told them that it’s fine they’ll get to play for more than one hour then they immediately said (no we close at 8:45 pm) which didn’t make any sense because here in google it says 9 PM??!?! It was weird and they explained to me that “they need to close the pools and clean them etc…”, still this is a major misinformation as you can’t say you’re closing 15 mins earlier before the time posted on a public and trusted platform (Google maps).
The attitude in general was unpleasant, unwelcoming and I feel that they’ve done their best to convince me to not come! This is not the way to promote your business by hiring people that stop welcoming people 1 hour and 15 mins before closing, as it’s absurd!
They then asked me in a rude way if I have the proper clothings for them and I said yes, it was as if they were searching for a reason to not let me and my kids in! I am a UAE citizen and I’m here to profit the business … is that how I get treated? It was very unnecessary of them.
Also, my sister called them to let them support us with locating our Nannies as we wanted to save time and let the Nannies know we’re coming so they start changing the kids clothes, THEY DID NOT SUPPORT AT ALL THEY STRAIGHT OUT REFUSED, My sister was very surprised as we have never encountered something like this! Usually staff everywhere are supportive and it won’t cost them anything if they located the Nannies and told them to answer our phone calls it’s not rocket science and the place is not THAT BIG it’s actually small 😅 so there was no excuse for that …
Not going back there again and definitely not recommending it for my family...
Read moreOverall the experience was good. They try their best to entertain the kids. They introduce different characters at regular intervals, different shows etc. But there were not many slides or water activities. They managed to bring as many attractions as possible within the available space. Cannot blame. Even though we went in the morning hours (@ 10 am, park opens at 9 am), there was too much crowd (as it was weekend). Getting a parking was also difficult. They didn't allow my younger son to ride on the zipline. He was very eager to go. But they said that his weight is less (18 kg) and they will allow only from 20 kg. But I was able to see even very small kids than my son was going in the zipline. My younger son was very much upset. Also, they said to exchange the amount paid for the zipline with popcorn (which I didn't felt comfortable). My elder son got some swelling and redness in his face, after playing in the water (not sure due to high chlorine or any other chemical that was added in the water for disinfection). The seating area shoud have some good shade. A birthday party was over. Later, we went to sit in the table (as there was some good shade, to escape from the heat), the housekeeping staff asked to sit somewhere else. We saw other families were using those tables and chairs (who were not related to the birthday party). I was not sure why we should not use those tables and chairs? I feel that they are preparing the food freshly only after we place the order. This is a good thing. As mentioned above, the overall experience was good...
