I have the pleasure of living right beside Kincorth Hill or Gramps for 10 years The last 35 years I have wondered round every nook and cranny with variety of faithful dogs. It is a fantastic nature reserve full of wildlife deer, foxes, tiny mice huge variety of birds, ponds and the odd stray cow. The views over the Granite City change in a blink of the eye from cold bleak grey to sparkling diamond silver. The rangers are knowledge is fantastic and always helpful It is used for walking, cycling and running and well maintained paths. Dog walking heaven and well placed dog poo bins although we still do get share of irresponsible owners who fail to pick up or pick up but drop bag of poo which is even worse however the regular dog walkers always challenge and supply a bag even most responsibe owner can get caught if bag roll runs out but someone will give you one if you ask like our Mutts we do not bite. There is during summer some anti social motorbike issues but dealt effectively with hi vis and undercover policing and in ladt 2yrs been marked reduction. Wilfill fire raising also intermittent issue but again community works together to report and maintain Gramps to minimise devastation it causes to woodland and wildlife. I love the Gramps and so wish when I move I could take it with me but will always come and visit with a furry faithful mutt and enjoy memories and views meeting old and new friends. If you are worried re how far to walk or heave little ones there are various marked out routes so you can tailor walk to your need or abilities. Thank You Ranger Service for awesome natural habitat in the middle...

Good for sunset views, and has some lovely wildflower fields in summer. The edges are mostly surrounded by industrial areas but this only intrudes into the serenity when entering or exiting; but visit soon before the nearby Aberdeen incinerator opens in 2022 belching toxic fumes over the...
