The Torry Battery is an artillery battery near Torry in Aberdeen, Scotland, which has overlooked the city's harbour since 1860. It was originally constructed for nine guns with a defensible barracks at the rear. In 1881 the battery mounted three 10-inch Smooth bore guns and five 68-Pounder Smooth bore guns.

Found thĂŠ Greyhope cafĂŠ inside Torry Battery and it was a great find. Ladies who were working there were SO helpful and the gentleman who was helping was a mine of information about old Torry ( thĂŠ area where this is situated ) Canât reserve tables, which makes going there with more than 4 people means you will just have to wait. There are tables / benches outside which you can sit at , providing the weather is fair, but would be great for them to be given permission to extend. Binoculars on each table to watch the happenings right round the harbour, right out to see snd the beach right to Peterhead apparently. Great find snd can recommend the lovely little business to anyone looking for something a wee bit different . Well done đ...

An old World War gun emplacement with a cafe, stunning views and the best place to see the Moray Firth Dolphins for free. Plenty of parking and hood disabled access. The Greyhope cafe was very busy, but there was seating available. The cafe has huge windows that look out to the bay. Here, you can sit with a drink and a homemade traybake slice, (try the mars bar one!) and watch the dolphins roll, jump and play. If youâre really lucky, you might get to see them riding the bow waves of a ship entering the harbour. For me, this is one of Aberdeens hidden places. If youâre lucky enough to get to see the dolphins then youâre in for a real treat when you visit Torry Battery. Youâve got to have some real perseverance sometimes, but itâs so worth the wait when you get to see them do their thing in the wild. Thereâs usually big clusters of them and theyâll pop up from time to time all over the place so it really is a waiting game. It also makes for a lovely walk, too, and you may also see a crab or two in the rock pools which form.
