We had a lovely weeks holiday in Aberporth in Sept 2015. if you walk down,. along the main road, and past the children's playground. You'll see there's a path on the left that winds it's way down to the beach through a lovely woodland area . As you approach the beaches, the one on the left is dog free, and the one on the right where dog walking is allowed . Across the beach perched upon the hill is the Ship Inn, where we had many a good meal and suitable quantity of ale. Dogs are welcome at the ship inn, but must be kept on a lead. Aberporth is an Un- commerised seaside village, it's got a little shop that sells mostly everything, a couple of pubs and a chip shop, oh and a launderette , so if you're looking for a quiet holiday base this is the place to go. Using Aberporth as a base, we had day trips to New Quay and Aberystwyth to name but two. Car parking is just across the road from The Ship Inn and it's pay and display. ps if you find this review helpful, please...

Lovely cove like beach, two sides when the tides in. Sandy beach with rock pools. And if you are lucky, which we have been on many occasions, you may catch a glimpse of the pod of dolphins that pass by on Cardigan Bay.! Brings a smile to everyones face. It's a bit of a walk to the beach not too far though, can be steep to unsteady feet but worth it? The car parks have honesty box in winter but a warden in summer? Last time we went it was £3-50 unlimited? There is a cafe and a take away chip shop, can't say about cafe but the take away bit the chips etc are nice but tiny bit more than your local chippy but it's the seaside expect it? They sell ice cream too. All on all because of the smallish parking areas it is a quietish beach, nice for families in Summer and very popular with dog owners in Winter! It's a great...

This place is amazing. Small beach with different cliff / cave areas to explore. Range of shops selling refreshments and other goodies right on the beach entrance, but some shops scattered throughout the village. The beach here is picture postcard / influencer tik tok levels of beautiful and cool. There is an establishment right on the beach selling food and drinks that plays music too. Very bohemian. There's lots of benches overlooking the cliffs for you to relax on, and grassy areas too.

It's the 6 weeks holidays and there wasn't even a fight to get on one of the small car parks. If you want the best beach experience and don't want the crowds, this place is your choice.

It's definitely my fav beach I've been...

Simply put wow! There are two parts to the beach, Traeth Dyffryn (the dog friendly larger one) and Traeth Dolwen (mainly families without dogs. The beach is a lovely sandy beach with a few tiny pebbles, if at all, there are rocks in the centre for kids to climb and explore and much more on the Dyffryn side when the tide is out. Plenty of nearby cafes with reasonable prices. Toilets and showers as well as lifeguards on patrol between 9am-5/6pm depending on the day/season. Some stunning walks down to the beach, and perhaps the nicest thing is there is greenery on both sides, which provides a lovely vista when you are sat on the beach staring out to sea.

We visited Aberporth Beach on a rainy summers evening. The beach was completely deserted, which suited us perfectly with a couple of dogs wanting to run around on the sand. There are plenty of lovely photos of the beach posted by others so I’ve uploaded a photo of the sweet street art we found on the wall of slipway down to the beach. I recommend grabbing some chips from the fish & chip shop across the road. Highly recommended beach.

Aberporth Beach was a delightful place to visit, with its clean sands, clear waters, and picturesque surroundings. Although I didn't get the chance to see the dolphins this time, the scenic coastal views and the peaceful atmosphere more than made up for it. The walk along the cliffs was still wonderful, offering beautiful views of Cardigan Bay. I'll definitely be back again, hoping for a glimpse of those dolphins next time!
