Before I begin my analysis of Watersedge Beach Cafe I'd like to deeply apologise for my tenuous grasp on the English lexicon, I am a citizen of the glorious country of Mongolia, and English is an extremely foreign language to me.
First of all, everything about this bistro is immaculate. My wife and I decided to take our honeymoon vacation in Aberporth and we were not disappointed with what Aberporth (and surrounding areas) had to offer, although it is very different from Mongolia, such as the lack of horses, it is still an extremely stunning town. On the first glorious morning of our first full day, we decided to look around the town to find somewhere we could get breakfast and we ended up outside watersedge cafe. It had somewhat of a charm to it and the location was perfect so we thought why not? When me and my spouse entered your domain we were faced with such a patient, elegant, and kind staff member whom wore glasses and had a beard. In hindsight, one doth wish they grabbed thy name for said employee doth deserve thy honorable mention in this scripture. Anyhow, me and my spouse decided to go with the pancakes (as recommended by the previously mentioned employee) and then we were given a spoon and decided to sit down on a table that faced the might of the sea. After a short while the food arrived and by the grace of Ukhnaagiin Khürelsükh they were phenomenal, quite possibly the best food to ever lay grace upon my tastebuds. They were nice and moist, succulent, and the portion sizes were perfect.
Anyhow one doth rambled on for a minute too plenty. I shall now finish the review by saying that this is the perfect place to pleasure your tastebuds. The food is perfect, the setting is perfect, the location is perfect, the staff are perfect, and the experience as a whole is perfect.
5/5 stars. Well deserved.
Yet again I am one doth apologise for my misunderstanding of the...
Read moreAbsolutely shocking service! Staff didn't come out to clear any of the outside tables until we started doing it ourselves. Ordered the American pancakes with sausage patty and bacon, was not really what expected with a huge dish of golden syrup (my fault for assuming it would be maple but traditionally on American pancakes it is maple syrup not golden) no sausage patty and not streaky bacon. All cold. Large Breakfast came and beans were stone cold, toast and tea we had ordered with it came literally half an hour later after reminding staff. When told, there was no apology for the wait or for forgetting, just a rude stare, quite an attitude which made me feel uncomfortable. Having been before and had a much better experience, I'm not sure what exactly was going on as it wasn't busy and was a Sunday morning. Staff were all sat around chatting, very unprofessional attitude and lazy. I don't like to critique staff because of their age but most of the people working there were young which may explain poor service. Really disappointed, seems to rely on location and view rather than providing good service and food.
Also if you go with small children/babies please be aware there are no nappy changing facilities in...
Read moreVisited the shop rather than the cafe, staff were super friendly and relaxed, items were well priced. We also rented a couple of kayaks (good value for money at £12.50 per hour, 2 hours standard) and whilst it was a good workout taking them down to the beach and back, we were more than happy to take our money here, rather than somewhere more convenient, the gentleman shop owner was just lovely. He advised us where to see dolphins, which we did, coming within a foot of them, which was one of the best experiences of the trip, also saw seals and a peregrine falcon, lots of seabirds, marine life and a beautiful way to see the landscape and coast. Would...
