Mewsbrook Park Pedalo & Boat Hire — Attraction in Arun

A lovely little park that's popular with dog walkers.. There's a small boating lake with a few ducks as well as resident swans & pedalo's which are seasonal, unfortunately they couldn't be hired out last year (2024) due to nesting water foul in them, however they have now been taken out of the water & deep cleaned & should be ready for hire at the start of the 6 weeks school Summer holiday (July 2025)... There's plenty of seating around the whole park & lots of bins, it's a lovely clean park with well maintained gardens. There's an enclosed children's playground at the North end of the park & there's a miniature ride on railway as well as a cafè at the southern end (Summer & winter hours differ for both the miniature railway & the café), the café serve everything from ice cream (including speciality doggy ice-cream) to entire meals & do a lovely afternoon tea service (by prior booking), hot & cold drinks are always available served by warm & friendly staff & you can even buy bird seed here to...

Great place for a walk 🚶‍♀️ Lots to see,birds,ducks,swans and dog walkers,plenty of areas for children to play. There's a cafe with outdoor and indoor seating and a good green area for picnicks in the summer . Went in to the new toilet area and the flower decoration on the walls are just lovely, all very clean and welcoming. There are new No Cycling 🚳 notices around the park but there was one man doing a couple of circuits around the park on his bike ,he took no notice of the signs and rode passed me on the bridge. The park is off the seafront and there's a good selection of skateboarding areas in the corner of the park near to the seafront. There's plenty of parking around the park and the sports centre has a large parking area and it's just a short walk to the park from...

Well maintained and beautiful park with a large lake in the centre, art deco seated shelters from a past era, at various locations around the park, normal wooden bench seating is also available at intervals around the flat tarmac path allowing free access for wheelchair users and slow walkers. Duck feeding points around the lake with bird feed available to buy. Children's play area with the usual swings and slides. Cafe with outdoor seating and public toilets are close to the new swimming baths off the main sea front, free parking on the access road or pay and display parking everywhere else.
