Edge By The Sea — Restaurant in Arun

This used to be a lovely little cafe with great basic lunch food and friendly staff. Today was a very different experience. We wanted to eat inside out of the cold wind with our small children, but to order your food, you had to order from the outside hatch and wait outside in the cold for it to be cooked (which took a while even though it was not busy) and then try to carry in all the food for your party inside yourself which is difficult when you have to contend with a door which shuts itself. The food wasn't great, and chips were very overdone and not enjoyable, the baps they were advertising as 'the best' were not available (which is disappointing considering that the whole menu consists of baps) so it was just plain cheap bread instead. The cafe itself was very dirty (we found a pubic hair on the table) as were the toilet facilities, I dread to think what the cooking facilities looked like.

It is such a shame that this lovely cafe has gone downhill very rapidly into the poor state it is in now. It has put us off ever...

Guys, while i appreciate your passion , i am extremely disappointed at the negative attitude of you Manager/ owner of the business . Asked to use the facilities as the public toilets closed at 8pm , and i was told that the toilets were out of order and the plumber was coming at 8am at the morning !! Where do your staff go , as an employer you should provide facilities !!!!! Where do the children, expectant mothers , elderly and disabled person go !!!!! Perhaps you should have closed instead of continuing to sell refreshments , where did the Gorillo Pizza staff go !!!! Perhaps they all went to the...

We love coming here after a round of crazy golf, but this time round our sausages in the sausage baps were luke warm and we found dog hair ON the table. This is not acceptable. Why is it not dog free when it's such a family friendly establishment? It is highly unhygienic. It's also quite messy inside, with chairs stacked up, and quite cluttered. It's a shame because they serve great coffee and hot chocolate. But maybe rethink the dog policy? We then also saw a dog sitting on a chair, I do not want to be sitting on chairs that dirty dogs have previously been on. We may just stick to take aways...
