Bike park just down the road from Wendover Woods. Mainly centres on downhill trails, which are challenging but excellent. There's also a cross country trail, 4X and pump track too. Definitely worthy of a half day visit. And keep coming back as it's not an all weather surface, so the conditions change massively with the seasons. Worth pointing out that other than the car park, there are no facilities at all. No shop, cafe or bike repairs. Head across to the Cafe in the Woods if you need reviving.

Amazing place for a quick session or for a full day of riding. Sensibly priced for what it is too. Not many facilities, if that's your thing, but the trails are intense and there's something for everyone, provided you're not a total newbie. In this case it might be a little too intense, as even the request trails quickly become steep and gnarly

Went in Jan 2020 so cold and wet. Not many people there so should have known. Was too cold for me, but the park is pretty good from what I did see. Mainly downhill setup, not much for trail riders. Will be back in summer.

There is an entry fee to use the park. You pay at a car park machine and your ticket may be checked on the way round. You really need to be fit, skilled and with the right gear to get the best out of the park. I did the XC route and found it challenging even riding a good quality XC Mountain Bike, properly set up running low pressure tubeless tyres. Much of the track is off camber with a lot of tree routes. The surface varies from soil, to chalk to flint. The track is quite narrow in places and goes through the trees so there is plenty of scope for a hard landing if you fall off. Certainly on the XC route and in the wet (or even when it is damp) you either need to know what you are doing and/or be prepared to get out of the way of faster riders. Some of the climbs are steep and with a slick chalk surface you might find it challenging to walk up some of them. So to summarise. If you know what you are doing then it's challenging. If you don't know what you are doing by all means go have a look but be prepared to be...

The machine in the car park wasn't working so even though I wanted to pay my 8 punds for a day ticket- I couldn't. Take my money please I want to support the maintenance and growth of MTB trail centres dang nabbit!

Honestly the trails are gnarly in the wet: even if you think you know what you are doing, you will come a cropper on the roots and chalk.

Trail review: 4x track needs some love as it is littered with flint. Surface to Air is THE trail for swag monkeys who wanna catch some hang-time and other high octane tomfoolery. Red trail didn't have enough...

i go to aston regularly now its a wicked bike park but definitley not for those starting out at downhill bike. I would say anything under 120mm travel and your gonna have a rough time. The first time i did downhilll i came here i had a carrera and it was not fun at all you really need the right kit. most importantly DOWNHILL BIKES COME INTO THEIR OWN LEAGUE which is why i would suggest slacker angles and generous travel. In the wet you will be fine, i have been in the snow before so dont be put off by all the other reviews saying not to its still a...
