I absolutely love it here!! . Its so beautiful here, especially in the summer when everything is in bloom! There is plenty to do with beautiful walks and a beautiful river ready for kayaking or paddle boarding if you have one, or why not rent out one of the rowing boats available on site?!.... or you could just walk along taking in the beautiful surroundings. There is also a cafe on sight and lots of interesting stuff in the exhibition about the renowned artist John Constable and you can take a walk along the routes that inspired some of his work! The buildings here are also very beautiful and interesting to learn about and are definitely worth a look as well! As well as food available at the cafe there is plenty of space for picnicking and there are also toilets and a small disabled car park located closer to the river than the main car park (which is still only a very short walk away) If you aren't a national trust member it costs £5 to park but it is...
Read moreMy daughter loved wandering and discovering all it had to offer, and the staff were lovely and welcoming. She did the treasure hunt challenge to find all the insects, kept the list and wanders our garden looking for more so she's definitely taken something from there . I relaxed on a bench with my flask of coffee whilst the baby napped after her play in the cool mud kitchen that was set up. A beautiful restful spot in the middle of a very busy place in school holidays & Summertime. It's closed throughout the winter months. Probably best time to visit to avoid the tourist crowds is just after it opens...
