Dunmurry Golf Club — Attraction in Belfast

Our fourball travelled to play Dunmurry GC today (open competition) On arrival we were told that we would have to play off mats on both the fairway and in the rough.. if we had know this at the time of booking we wouldn’t have bothered. The course was not in great condition being very wet in places. A temporary green for the first consisted of no more than a hole plonked in the fairway. We were constantly held up with slow play from the fourball in front of us, who had lost at least a hole to the players in front of them. Attended a private function there and male members of the club came into it. One in particular was drunk and staggered through those attending making crude/rude remarks, using fowl language and bumping into people, standing on toes & knocking into drinks He made unsolicited attempt to converse and dance with those attending. . Staff said they were members of the club and did nothing to remove them. Shocked that other club members with him didn't stop him either - but they were male too. Terrible course for a visitor. No signs to show where you go next. I started off the 1st and enjoyed it, tee right beside it was actually for the 17th. No sign for the 2nd anywhere. When I figured out which hole I was on it was too late. No chance of playing anymore golf. Guy on the course told me they have a sign made up for the 2nd Tee as it happens often. But they haven't bothered to put it up. Was told try the 15th and hope for the best, got there and a four ball was starting. So left pretty angry as the pro shop couldn't help.
