Hardwick Hall ruins, English Heritage

Not suitable for disabled people as lots of steep steps and no handrail.

Lovely old ruin. It's a ruin that you can imagine how it was. I personally love ruins, so it was my cup of tea!

Interesting markings on walls as you climb the stairs. Great for history buffs to visit. Lovely for pictures. It was part of the entry fee to the maim house too. Payment separate would be expensive .

There are no toilets at this location, but they are close to visitors' tea...

Nice house. Shame it was raining so couldn't appreciate the outside :-( Note to National Trust members - the English Heritage part (Old Hall) is also included in our membetship for this location. Old Hall includes a personal audio guide. Cafe is currently located at the exit of the 'New Hall' after youve walked around' not much room, was too busy when we got there so decided against. The 'New Hall' still hosts Weddings...

Everything was so interesting — both the castle itself and its history. I was amazed by the number of tapestries in the rooms; everything looked so harmonious and had its own mystical charm. There are many paths where you can take a walk and simply enjoy nature and the peaceful solitude.
