PS⦠nonsense? - Rude. I thought you were better than this Jonathan! We have been to the Cafe a few times a few years ago- I wasnāt trying to jump the queue: I asked if I can order from the till as I couldnāt remember how it works now and been told itās table service then we weāre quite happy to order at the table and to wait 25 minutes for the food to come was not a problem as we didnāt complain on that, the woman who served us was very unpleasant ( maybe not to other table but us - we came to have some breakfast but the service we received made the whole situation miserable) and to wait for such a long time for a piece of toast to turn up was not something people are expecting especially when food other tables who were after us came before a piece of toastā¦who did I ask to look after my child - aw to come to this cafe today is an eye opener: we have been to a lot of different countries different restaurants and cafes⦠do I dare to ask people to look after my child?! We wonāt go back that is for sure⦠we wonāt go to a place paid the money but staff are this rude and try every corner to make things up to cover their back is an eye opener or you have some understanding issues. We can see the desperation to make your little Cafe thrive but the approach is no class.
We went to the neighbourhood cafe in the morning⦠the food was nice - some people mentioned itās a bit overpriced but we are ok with the price if the service is up-to standard, its Ā£7.3 for a smashed avocado with a piece of thick white toast( the child wanted more toast so they gave another piece of the same toast for free) but the service was very poor - we waited for 25 minutes for the food to come - we ordered at 10.40am and the food came at 11.05am and another 10 minutes for one piece of toast to turn up. The staff were rude...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreLoved this little coffee shop, could not believe how many vegan options there were (of course plenty of regular stuff too) but it's refreshing to have choice for once, especially in Bolton! I had the vegan cheeze and tomato toastie and added a cup of celery soup, really delicious and very filling all washed down with an oat milk latte sprinkled with vegan choccy! The atmosphere was great too and the staff all very friendly and helping to open the door for my elderly Aunt Babs. I also got a slice of vegan carrot cake to go which was also yummy, very impressed and have actually reserved a table to come back with my mum and sister on Friday! Thank you and I've added you to Happy Cow for other vegans who would like to have options for lunch in our area š
Edit: went back and had the portobello mushroom salad and a cup of soup and my sister had the halloumi open sandwich which looked great and mum had the beef sandwich, all tasted fab! Really great coffee...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreexpensive and not much choice. We came for breakfast. there was no sausage no black pudding on offer. So we ordered a bacon sandwich. There was a choice of soda bread and a a other. They arrived and were served as "who ordered the soda bread?"..... I was served. However, the bread was exactly the same on both orders. We ended up paying in full and leaving the food and drinks to go elsewhere. Plus we did wait a long time and the place had 6 customers (including a friend and I). The location is great and much needed in Heaton (as there is very little). I was just disappointed and wished for more. We ended up going to another cafe in Queen's park and had much greater choice for half the price. Breakfasts at weekends are a treat for some and I honestly hope that you take the feedback positively and maybe expand you weekend breakfast menu. You have a prime location and lovely setting for us fellow Heatoners. Plus I wish you well in...
