When in Lancashire close to the Yorkshire Border, there is a beautiful place called Ball Grove Park, there is a very nice Lakeside cafe run by two ladies, who do nice food at really good prices, there is a nature trail, leading to two, very old family homes, one of which is Wycollar Hall, just near to these is the ancient Wycollar bridge which is still there, after thousands of years it has stood, a few years ago it had it's back broke by a raging torrent, it was lovingly restored by some wonderful people, who did a fantastic job in putting it back together for us all to still use today, this is a most beautiful area, you will enjoy it so much.

Nice park with lakeside cafe and picnic area (if you don't mind dogs). Children's play area fenced off to keep dogs out. Good place to start a walk to Wycoller, Boulsworth Hill or Haworth and ideal for a spot of wildlife photography as you walk from the lake along the nature trail towards the duck pond.

Had a lovely short walk around this park. A few bodies of water. Very icy today, but the tracks were pretty decent, so it would usually be alright for walking on. Decent sized carpark there, too. Lots of walks leading from here. I will be back another day to complete a longer walk from here.

Ive driven past the entrance to this park hundreds of times but never gone down the hill to the lake and cafe. I went with a friend who goes regularly and to be honest, what a pleasant surprise. There is plenty of free parking on two levels and and on the lower level there is a cafe with outdoor seating as well as indoor seating. A very tidy place with very friendly staff and the menu prices are very reasonable. The park itself is beautiful and a good place to find some peace and quiet. Even though the road above was not visible,I was amazed that I couldn't hear the noise of any of the traffic. Will I go again? Yes I will and the bonus is,it's not to far to go to...
