Not wheelchair friendly -
I contacted this café and asked whether they were wheelchair accessible which they advised they were. However, when my friend and myself (who are both wheelchair users) arrived we found that the café had two small steps to enter. There were outside disabled toilets, however these were closed and looked rather unclean. There was an inside toilet which at first they said we wouldn't be able to use as no access, however they later advised that we could use the fire exit doors to access the inside toilet. This worked OK but they had to move lots of cleaning items that were blocking the fire exit doors for us to be able to use the toilet.

Read moreThis is one of my very favorite cafes. Sitting on the edge of a large and beautiful expanse of water, this wonderful spacious eatery is base camp to the relaxing country park that surrounds it. There is a sheer abundance of wildlife and great opportunity for a refreshing walk after your food. Myself and my wife visit this place regularly. The parking is very ample with a large car park sitting just above with additional same level parking next to the cafe on the lower area. Prices are very reasonable and the outside tables provide a great position to eat overlooking the water and animals. This is a 'must go' family cafe! So put it on your bucket list!...

It’s very welcoming of walkers, cyclers, family groups and people with dogs. There are lovely views across the small mill lodge and outside seating for warmer weather. My only criticism would be having to ask for the table and chairs to be wiped before we sat down, even though the staff were not massively busy. However this was minor and I’d...
