The park is normally a lovely place to go, but yesterday, due to rains and so many people going there during lockdown, is now a mud field. The berth of the walk-paths have been completely destroyed by people and bicycles giving each other a social distant passing, I guess.
Some other people are not so socially distant, and use the place to catch up on past events I guess. Seen many people meet up there and chat without a mask, keeping pre-covid era distances...
All-in-all, it was a disappointment. Hopefully it will get back to it's past nice state sometime in the future, but currently my suggestion is...
   Read moreThis park is a little gem! Well kept grounds; tidy, while still being beautifully nature-friendly. The tea room is bright, clean and airy with a varied, well priced menu. Ample seating inside and out. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed our visit and I am pleased to recommend the park... Apart from the final speedbump on the exit. It's HARSH! and sounded as if it was ripping the bottom from our car, despite crossing it at a snail's pace. We don't think it's done any real damage but, it wasn't a pleasant experience.

   Read moreGreat park for a quiet walk with or without a dog. plenty of benches, trees and a very friendly, well run café with plenty of tables inside and out. They sell a typical range of food and drink including pizza. There are always plenty of other dog walkers to socialise with. Tennis courts are available with some free times of the day I believe. never seen any trouble here. The park feels well maintained. There is some work outstanding in one corner due to the pipeline work but this doesn't affect the main part of the park. There is a lot of parking and ive never seen the car park run...
