This place is stunning, it's peaceful and the surrounding area is quite idyllic, the park is clean, the caravan is very well presented, we stayed in number 24, which a Platinum Plus 6 one, and I must say it was a pleasure to stay in.
It had everything we needed, so very little was needed from home, basically we just did a shop at Lidl in Helston, which is roughly 15-20 minutes away.
There is a heated pool, gym and sauna on site, not a massive pool with slides and whatnot, but a good sized pool nonetheless, there's an onsite restaurant, which we didn't try, but looking at the menu, it seemed to serve some nice dishes, catering for most needs, and prices were about right for this sort of place.
The beach was a 5 minute walk from the site, this was also really nice, I could imagine sitting in summer with the kids and soaking up the sun and building sand castles.
There's not a great deal around the site, but Penzance is only 10 miles from here.
All in all this was a very enjoyable stay and I would recommend it to anyone, as my children are teens I couldn't comment on how you'd get on with little ones, but there are plenty of places not to far a drive which should see the whole family sorted, a great base of operations is...
Read moreNice sandy beach with plenty of space. Good for swimming and a bit of water sports - even saw a big male seal bobbing about near the shore.
There is a beach bar and ice cream stall at one side and a small shop selling food and beach stuff too. Cornish Gin and Fever tree tonic £7.30 (£1 beach glass deposit). Double scoop Kelly’s Cornish ice cream cone £4.70. Cheese pasty £4.
The toilets could be better maintained.
Car parking is the cheapest near the toilets with one small place being £3 all day but there is a much larger car park before this which is only £4 for all day.
I have had a dog previously for many years and will never fail to be amazed at the scummy people who do not pick up the mess their dogs leave - as there were quite a few piles left just near where we decided to stop😫
Without the dog mess this would be a...
Read moreBeautifully sandy beach with plenty of space and a wonderful cafe (beachcomber cafe) that serves most most all dietary requirements, they sell a wide variety of teas and coffees, as well as ice creams and cakes, and hot food. They even stock vegan ice reams and pasties, and serve a vegan full English breakfast breakfast for those looking for plant based options. There's is a restaurant/bar(?) called the sand bar that I have not personally tried so I cannot comment on that. There is a surf shop for all of your clothing, surfing, body boarding etc needs, reasonably priced parking and free public restrooms adjacent to the Maggies car park.
In conclusion: Great beach with great scenery and good facilities, you could easily spend the...
