This is quite a small museum but it is nevertheless a fascinating place. There is a diverse range of artefacts and exhibits from local, civic and military history through to the early bronze age and excavated implements from the Roman era. An incredibly helpful and knowledgeable member of staff kindly offered to accompany us and gave us a guided tour.
