I often take my little one to Safari as it is a great softplay with really good food. I recently booked a superhero themed party here for my little ones 4th birthday as she is superhero obsessed. I thought that the party package was great for the price as although a little pricey, the food was included aswell as a few extras which isn’t offered at most other places for party packages unless you pay extra. Unfortunately it wasn’t quite what i hoped for or expected. We didn’t receive a few of the things that they say you get with the party package and the party host was probably with us for all of 10 minutes if that. She was difficult to find throughout the 80 minutes of play and during the 40 minutes of food she was in and out helping another party booking and was only really there to help us do the cake. She was lovely but no one even realised she was our party host as that was how little they saw her. The website states that children attending the party will be offered a superhero cape to wear when eating but this was never offered to the children attending the party. It also states that children will all receive a certificate for attending the party but this also wasn’t offered to us. We did ask about the certificates as we were leaving and were told that they haven’t had any for awhile but could post me one when they next get some in which just seemed a little disappointing. This was the first party that i have booked for my little one and i was very nervous so was relying on it being more organised than it was from the venues side but it all felt very unorganised and rushed which was a shame. Even the 40 minutes of food felt rushed, some food was missed and brought out late and the party rings were not given out at all. It also says on the website when booking a party that you will be sent a free pass for the birthday child to attend safari play at a later date, i still haven’t received this either. It is a shame as Safafi play is a great softplay, one of the best that we have locally in Peterborough but i felt let down by the party experience we had for how much i...
Read moreExtremely unhappy with our experience today. We arranged a birthday party for our son which cost us £300 in total which turned out to be a huge disappointment and the staff was very unorganised. 1- For 18 people they had reserved a table for only 6 , on requesting for more chairs we were told by staff to grab chairs ourselves as we find any free ones . And obviously when we did that we were told off by another staff member. 2- The place was so overbooked that there was hardly place to stand without being in anyone’s way or to walk without bumping into people. 3- Food was served 20 minutes late ( because they were overbooked - that’s the reason given to us ) 4- BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT— one of the children got sick in the meal room. And vomited on the floor And we requested the staff member hosting our party if it could be cleaned as there was lot of vomit on the floor too and other children were still eating in that room and she said I would throw up myself on top of it if I tried to clean it so my husband asked them to get atleast some napkins and bags so he can help the mum of the child clean up . This was extremely disappointing watching the mum of the sick child cleaning up the vomit from the floor with tissues while the host was least bothered about it . ( didn’t even try to help ) .It’s a soft play ( venue for children) one would expect them to have some arrangements in case any child got sick . On top of it I didn’t know that my husband had already requested them to clean and they had refused so when I asked her separately to get it cleaned she lied and said to me “ oh but your husband offered to do it himself “. He didn’t offer , he didn’t have a choice . We couldn’t carry on the celebration in a room with vomit over the floor now could we. 5- While serving the cake the staff member said “ while I wrap the cake pieces into napkins , can the birthday boy serve it to children ?” And obviously that turned out to be a mess . Half of the children got cake , half left without it . There was chaos . All in all very unorganised . I’m never going...
