Dramatic waterfall in a rocky gorge, accessed by a pleasant woodland trail. There's a bench by the main viewpoint, from which both branches of the waterfall can be seen. At one point on the trail there's a break in the trees, revealing an impressive mountain view. In autumn, it's possible to see salmon jumping the falls on their journey upstream. I was fortunate enough to see several when I visited in early September. To help the salmon make their journey upstream, a fish pass has been installed, comprising a series of levels inside a tunnel. This enables fish to travel upstream beyond the waterfall, an otherwise impassable obstacle. There's plenty of free parking outside the Conwy Falls Café, with a charge of £2 to walk the trail.

Loved reading all the reviews with peoples juxtaposition between the beauty of unspoilt nature and in the same paragraph complaining about roots and rocks on the footpath! Yes there are roots and big rocks on the footpath, but it's a beautiful unspoilt chunk of countryside, if you get diggers and cement mixers down there it maybe becomes easier to access without watching where you're putting your feet, but it also turns into a Disney version of Snowdonia. The river is beautiful, lots of nature surrounding it, birds singing, fungi doing that thing they do. Costs a couple of quid to get through the gate & when you get back there's a lovely cafe to have a bite to eat and enjoy the view.

Car parking available at the cafe. No more honesty box - now it's an electronically controlled swing gate, GBP2 per entry (I guess most people weren't honest!). Takes cashless and cash, but swindled me out of GBP2 cash without entry, so be warned! Steep natural (read: muddy) path that leads steadily downwards - safest with good shoes and reasonably good mobility. The more you descend, the more beautiful the surrounding forest and the louder the rush of water. Here on a rainy autumn day, and the water was in full spate. Circular path leads back up to return to the car park (another steep climb). Lovely viewpoints for townies who don't want long hikes.

A lovely place for a nice and short walk. The carpark is free although tiny and fills up quickly. There is a cafe and toilet facilities right by the carpark. There is a field with benches behind the cafe. The entry to the path is £1.50 per person, there is a short walk to the waterfall. You can climb down the rocks to see it from a different angle. Be careful, they can be slippery in wet conditions. The path takes you back to the corner of the picnic field through a forrest.

Lovely wooded walk but not suitable for everyone as the paths are steep and uneven. However, there are handrails all the way around which makes it easier. The falls are often obscured by the trees and seem quite far away. I managed to go down and get some good views, but some people like the disabled and elderly may not. There's plenty of waterfalls you can see for free on the mountainsides, but you may want to pay a small fee and say you've been there and done Conwy Falls.

Totally magic place! Entry goes through a revolving door, next to the Conwy Falls Café. It's a circular path. One can get right to the bottom of the falls (proper hiking boots recommended) but there are several signs warning about life danger. Really depends on how much water the river has. The pictures I attached are from two different trips and one can clearly see the increase after the rain. It's a perfect little adventure without much walking! Take care.
