A truly wonderful place. Such a peaceful spot where the canal meets the wide flowing River Trent. Far from the madding crowd, Beeston Lock is a must visit for an afternoons quiet contemplation, and a good walk. Finish off with a cup of tea and cake at the very friendly Canalside Heritage Centre.

Beeston Canal and Lock and parkland pathways alongside the River Trent, near the Beeston Weir. Great views along the Trent and some lovely cafe's and always a selection of "Barges" to see moored along the riverside.

Great launch points for the kayak, ample parking, there is also a pub, a cafe and a shop. Would defo go here again for a day out on the water

There is where the canal meets the River Trent, it's a tranquil and fun spot to relax and watch the narrow boats transfer from one section to another. There are a couple cafes nearby, along with the Heritage Museum that has some interesting information. It's a fun spot to top for a few minutes, but it's not a destination...
