Riverside Bar — Restaurant in Broxtowe

Riverside bar is always welcoming and the staff are amazingly friendly, and I have to be completely fecking honest - the drinks are the cheapest I've had in a long time since covid began. So £4.55 double Southern Comfort and lemonade, plus only £4 for the strawberry and lime cider then omg wait for it 4 shots for £7 and these have fireball/ sambucca. They have a pool table and good music, they remember you plus I love the walk to it, always come here and tbh its 45 mins walk from me but this is my local. The food I ordered is a simple but served in good speed and to a good standard - its home meals at good prices and no restriction on sauce lol £3.30 for my chip butty. Terrible!! When I first arrived I found it to be a lovely place! Me and my partner where drinking to the anniversary of her dads death, something we do every year since he passed away.

Later in the evening I had a series of epileptic seizures thust caused me to become confused, out of control and a bit angry / agitated.

I heard ambulance and staff making comments about me and I refused any further treatment from ambulance, removed my own cannula and left.

They contacted Police and when they arrived they practically laughed at them and left.

Shame that the team couldn’t understand how someone with epilepsy can behave and react, seriously some training needs to be done and staff also shouldn’t be drinking blue WKD...

Stopped here for a quick pint whilst on a walk in the area.

This is not the most modern of bars but it does have a community vibe to it. The choices of drink are better than expected.
