Lovely play areas, one for smaller and one for older kids. All under the trees so nice and shady. River runs through the park. Dog friendly. Free parking. We came from a distance to visit so it was only lacking a toilet, although it looked to be a short walk into town where we may have been able to find one.

Wonderful place to walk at all times of year. Only issues are how busy it gets in the summer and how many cannabis smokers the area draws! Could almost give Amsterdam a run for its money!

Not a park, it's a giant dog toilet at best.

It's absolutely not conducive to picnicking and if you enjoy kicking through autumnal fallen leaves or find yourself accidentally straying more than a couple of inches from the already filthy paths you are guaranteed to be hosing dog mess off your shoes when you get home... not kidding, it is everywhere! And this being Buckingham the 'delusion of grandeur' attitude is "it's the countryside so it's natural, not my responsibility"! They let their dogs run off-lead so they don't actually see them doing their business, that way they have an excuse not to pick up their responsibility.

Because of the above there's actually very little in the way of wildlife here, due to the sheer volume of uncontrolled dogs rampaging around destroying and scaring away everything around them. Why would anything choose to make a home here when it's going to get destroyed.

You will however observe the endless discarded teenage detritus, takeaway boxes, plastic packaging, cans and bottles and of course the obligatory trolley and cone they've float tested in the ever clogged "Great Ouse", because the poor little angels have nothing else to do, it's not their fault it's the government... obviously!

Then there's the local foul mouthed, nicotine stained, sausage legging brigade waddling around with more screaming kids than teeth taking up the entire path and more, you are expected to move aside for them to pass at their leisure - I dare you to stand your ground with them approaching... go on, I dare you!

Oh and especially avoid this place every Saturday morning. This is when the ridiculous and vile spitting, wheezing, nose emptying, inbred sheeple swarm and believe me they will barge straight through you if you do not move out of their way, because how dare anyone else be using a path that clearly belongs to them when they're desperately trying to offset Macdonald's!

So unless you enjoy the aroma of dog mess, having uncontrolled dogs pestering you and being forced off the path by narcissists who think they and their vermin are the centre of the universe, then I suggest, with sadness in my heart, that you find somewhere else to grab some fresh air.

Consider yourself accurately informed and forewarned with this honest description of somewhere that could/should be so much better for 'all'!

Oh yeah, quick note to the council - if you're interested in some advice on how to reduce the unnecessary flooding issue, you only have to ask. It may initially involve using a portion of that budget on something other than the annual waste of money replacing the kids play areas again and again (when there's absolutely nothing wrong with them), also learning some 'common' sense... yes, yes I understand I'm expecting too much and gone way too far there,...

Excellent park with lots of secluded areas. Lovely mix of wide open grassy spaces, wooded areas and even a large enclosed area for dogs to run. Decent number of bins, outdoor exercise facilities and a great play park for kids. Lovely wheelchair friendly paths and streams. Highly recommend. Limited parking, maintenance and lack of cafe prevent fifth star but there are loads of cafes...
