This is a lovely and quiet beach although I think that is because it’s a trek from the car park (which is very expensive) especially when laden with cool bags and beach tents! It’s shingle and seaweed which makes shoes a necessity for comfort. Lots of beach left when it’s high tide. No bins on this stretch so rubbish has to be lugged back to the car. Nice view of the Roman towers. You’ll also encounter lots of cyclists on the walk there.

From Reculver Castle to Margate there is a flat promenade that is excellent for walking or cycling. The views on the first section are 360, sea to one side and marshes to the other with a variety of birds and insects. I first cycled this route on a cool, sunny day and felt thoroughly refreshed by the clear air and sense of space.

Bey big rock polling, one of my favorite, I come 1 hour before low tide, suggest come earlier, many rocks to check, you can find crab, fish, shrimp etc, high quality leisure time.

Nice, relatively isolated spot. Some historical (Roman) attraction. A pleasant enough cafe behind the beach (though the coffee wasn't strong enough to defend itself). Quite good food and beer at the King Ethelbert pub - good job too, there's naff all else! The pub benefits from its captive market, but doesn't seek to exploit it - they make an effort to provide a friendly and pleasant place to eat and drink. Overall, a good place to visit - watch out for tide times, there was no beach when we were there...
