נמל christchurch ובמיוחד אתר עתיקות שמשתרע מאחוריו הוא גן עדן לכל אחד, מי שאוהב היסטוריה . הנוף נראה כאילו נלקח מהרומנים מתקופת ימי ביניים. סמוך לנמל מוצבת כנסייה שנבנתה במאה 11, מאחוריה גבע. ועל פסגת הגיבע פזורים הריסות של המצודה העתיקה. מצד שני של הגיבע שרידים של בית ממאה 12. מקום שקט להפליא: למרות שמדובר על אחת מהכנסיות העתיקות של אנגליה ,ועיירה christchurch הייתה ידועה עוד לפני שנורמנים במאה 11 כבשו את בריטניה , יחסית, מעט מאוד תיירים, לכן הנוף הוא ממש אמיתי ופסטוראלי
