Read moreColchester is becoming a large metropolis, even now it’s established as a city. Green spaces and nature reserves are quite essential to have that lease of freedom and tranquility.
I had chose Highwoods Country Park for my date with an female (I know, shock horror) and conveniently there is a Tesco Extra about 0.2 miles from one of the more secluded car parks. So I had gathered some picnic food, along side packing my GTI blanket to enjoy the ambience of barking dogs and birds chirping. I had then discovered, females do like nature and DO THEY LOVE sunsets!
This is a quite picturesque Country Park and it’s got many different areas to keep you occupied. I’d highly recommend taking someone with interest on a date here, because if you don’t click or work out, then at least you’ve only lost yourself a tenner on sausage rolls and mini cocktail sausages.

Read moreThis provided a great place to spend a few hours and enjoy a picnic. If you're feeling more energetic you can follow the trails for walks of up to an hour and a half but if you just want to wander about with small children there is still plenty to do. There are several play/climbing areas aimed at different age/ability children and a super area for den building. Lots of picnic benches are available in shady areas as well as open spaces for enjoying the sunshine on a picnic blanket. Highly...
