Stopped by after seeing a sign for open gardens. We paid £4 each which included the house, gardens, and gallery. The gallery was interested with different artists interpreting the ‘I wish’ theme. The gardens were a little disappointing as the wild garden was literally wild; not much flowers. The other smaller gardens were more interesting. The lady on the till was informative with the history of the house.

Fascinating house with a very interesting history. Friendly and welcoming, "come on in sit down". It was more like visiting old friends than the usual clinical house tour! The gardens are well worth exploring. Facilities wise there is a gift shop but no cafe. Well worth a visit if you have a couple of hours to spare, or in combination with the nearby Newburgh Priory.

Gardens are open regularly nowadays. Exhibition on Sterne was closed which looks like the current norm. House not open to public but may have an annual open day. Garden only £3 and v much worth it if you like untamed, Laurence Sterne or atmosphere

A lovely garden to explore, with a warm welcome from volunteers. Access to the museum is by prior arrangement during Covid, but a plant sale and small shop selling books and memorabilia is also available. Definitely worth a look if you're in the area - easy to combine with a visit to the nearby...
