Stopped for some food whilst waiting for something else in the village. Pleasant place - didn’t quite understand the shop. Menu was quirky (Thai coupled with more expected tea and cake style offerings) Value was reasonable, portion sizes a fraction smaller than would have liked. Service was good. We sat in the garden (beautiful) so not sure what sitting inside would be like. Nice though. I had the Thai curry and enjoyed it.

Stopped off for refreshments and found it’s a lovely little tearoom. The staff were attentive and friendly! We ordered coffee/teas, and scones, and it came pretty quickly! Stayed and had a catch up with a friend, and didn’t feel rushed! They have a gift shop and had a mooch!!

Went here for a quick lunch with the kids. We all had a superb homemade sausage roll followed by cake and scones. Lovely food, lovely little cafe.

VERY DISAPPOINTED. Arrived Friday morning after arranging to meet 4other couples there for coffee, ( they had never been and we wanted to introduce them to some new tea rooms) . We had checked the web site which confirmed the tea rooms open and travelled from Ponterract and Wakefield an hours drive away to meet before going on somewhere else for lunch and an overnight stay. Imagine our dismay to find a closed sign on the door and building works taking place!!!!! Would it have been TOO much trouble to post on your web site that you were. CLOSED?? Fortunately the Falconberg Hotel,in the same village were very accommodating and we had a lovey coffee and biscuits there. I would fully recommend this Hotel, and urge others not to assume this tea rooms is open when it...

Stayed here with a couple of friends as we were visiting the Black Swan Restaurant nearby on the Friday night. Hosts couldn't be more helpful and friendly. We arrived after the tea rooms had closed so used the key provided in the key safe to enter the property. Large comfortable beds.

Cooked breakfast first class, rooms spotlessly clean and spacious. Lots of toiletries, large towels and 2 separate shower rooms to service the 3 bedrooms. Dressing gowns and slippers provided.

Will definitly visit here and the lovely location again, top marks from us all, keep up...

Went for afternoon tea, only found this by googling as not from the area, such a lucky find. Tucked away in beautiful village, the tea room is surrounded by stunning garden, we sat outside as gorgeous day. Staff were very friendly and polite, service was great. The afternoon tea was totally delicious, every mouth full was lush, so fresh and all home made cakes, struggled to finish it all, they boxed up our cakes. I will definitely be returning and would highly...
