Polly Joke (Porth Joke) is a hidden gem of a beach — peaceful, unspoiled, and full of natural beauty. It’s about a 10-minute walk from the nearest car park, with the final stretch down to the beach being quite steep, so good footwear is a must.

The beach itself is stunning — quiet, clean, and framed by rugged cliffs. What really makes this spot special is the chance to see seals. If you walk up the opposite side of the headland, there’s a dedicated seal viewing area. We saw more seals here than anywhere else — it was an incredible sight.

There’s plenty of clear signage around asking people to respect the wildlife, and it’s great to see that being taken seriously. Keeping quiet and keeping your distance makes the experience feel even more magical.

Polly Joke is a fantastic place to escape the crowds and connect with nature. Highly recommended for walkers, nature lovers, and anyone looking for a...

This beach is perfectly hidden, between a couple of famous beaches Holywell Bay and Perranporth in Cornwall. You park in a field and walk across 3 fields filled with wild poppies before looking down at the crystal clear seas of the Atlantic. Great beach of surfing and hidden BBQ's for family days out. You can often see Seals at high tide, walk along the cliffs and you can see them swimming between the waves. There's also a great pub close by with a great menu of pub grub, locally caught fish and great burgers. Bring on the...

Visited 3 days ago on a sunny day. Looked so beautiful and nearly a favourite beach however it was too busy - given the time of year I expected it to be much quieter and of course the usual group of dogs running around ruining this beautiful spot and disturbing you while you try to relax.

There are more dog owners in Cornwall then any other place in the UK. Should be renamed "Dog Country". I've never seen so many dogs in my entire life!

Managed to get 2 photos without dogs in the frame but...
