Had a really cracking day; my sister bought the caving and abseiling adventure for my birthday, I didnāt really know what to expect but Malc made the day really exciting and fun!
I pre read the action plan and if you go prepared you will have a blast. You start the day in Matlock Bath.
Iāve never done caving before and was worried Iād be getting wet, damp and muddy, however Malc has all the right gear, equipment and PPE to wear. It meant I didnāt have to think twice about pushing my way through small tight gaps in the caves. For those that are claustrophobic, there is always an alternative way around the rock caverns and Malc will let you choose the path which you are most comfortable with.
Moving into the abseiling, itās a short 30 min drive to Millers Dale near Buxton. Park up and have a luncheon, followed by a short walk on the old train line (flat and easy) to an old railway arch where you can abseil down the valley to the river below. You do get a couple of goās abseiling and itās great team work helping your fellow team mates recovering them from over the river and pulling them onto land (you donāt get wet, itās just fun).

Ā Ā Ā Read moreAbsolutely fantastic day of activities, relaxed but very professional. The whole family (2 adults, 2 children) enjoyed the day, no stress, my wife is afraid of heights and yet Malc easily put her at ease and before she knew it she was abseiling 75ft up. After all of us had abseiled a few times each, we were off to the next activity...caving. It was great, Malc was very knowledgeable with plenty of stories about the makeup and history of the mine that were presented in a way suitable for all ages. The experience was perfectly balanced for us, difficult enough to feel real, relaxed enough for it to be fun.
Can not recommend Truth & Trust enough, we are already trying to find our next free weekend to book further...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreRecently visited the peaks, had two days with Malc. Firstly he took the four of us (2 adults, 2 kids 12& 8) down an old lead mine. It was absolutely fantastic, the kids loved it, a proper experience that felt like we were actually doing something adventurous. We did a second day gorge walking, again fantastic, something we would never have done on our own. Lastly, abseiling from an old railway bridge on the monsal trail. Kids went around loads of times, couldn't get enough. Without doubt, the adventure stuff was the best thing we did whilst away. Malc was a lovely guy, calm and knowledgeable, reassuring us at every step of the way. I cannot recommend...
