If you're on the lookout for a dessert paradise, The Little Dessert Shop Sutton in Ashfield is an absolute must-visit! I recently had the pleasure of experiencing their delectable treats, and I couldn't be happier with my choice.
Let's start with the star of the show, the Tres Leche cakes. I ordered two flavors and was blown away by their creativity and taste. The Saffron Tres Leche cake was unlike anything I've ever tried before. The saffron infusion gave it a unique and authentic flavor, and the addition of 24k gold flakes added a touch of luxury. It was a true delight!
Now, let's talk about the Chai Tres Leche cake. This beauty was not only visually stunning but also a taste sensation. The cake was incredibly light and fluffy, which was a pleasant surprise. It's the perfect choice for those who want to enjoy a piece of cake without feeling weighed down all day. The chai flavor took it to another level of deliciousness.
During my visit, the lovely lady serving me kindly offered a sample of the Pistachio and Rose gelato. Let me tell you, it was incredible! The gelato had a delicate balance of flavors, with just the right amount of rose essence. The beautiful baby pink color and creamy texture made it an ideal treat for the summer season.
And let's not forget about the dipped gelatos! These little wonders were absolutely divine. The combination of the smooth gelato and the indulgent coating was a match made in dessert heaven. Each bite was a burst of flavors that left me wanting more.
In conclusion, The Little Dessert Shop Sutton in Ashfield is a dessert lover's dream come true. The unique twists on classic desserts, friendly service, and delightful gelato offerings make it a place worth visiting. Whether you're craving saffron-infused goodness or a lighter and fluffier cake experience, this dessert shop has got you covered. Don't miss out on the opportunity to treat your taste buds to their culinary wonders. Trust me, you...
Read moreUnfortunately a little disappointed with our order from LDS this time around.. Only ordered from here once before a few years ago but seems to have lost quality, or maybe it’s just a one off? It’s sad to say but the only thing out of the order placed that was any good was the Kunafa Chocolate Pot my wife ordered, really really nice actually! It’s sort of like what you’d expect a shredded up nest cake from school to taste like, never tried Kunafa before but now we know we like it, will definitely be trying out the pistachio style dessert (not necessarily from LDS though). The Espresso Shake I was really let down by, I know by all regards it is what it says on the tin.. An espresso shake, but to me for nearly £9 I’d expect something more than the taste of generic powdered Nescafé coffee with vanilla ice cream in it? It wasn’t overly impressive or something to write home about. Besides that it wasn’t really an “ice cream milkshake” more just a milkshake as it was kind of melted by the time it arrived. With regard to the Red Velvet Cheesecake both my wife and I agreed there was a weird artificial flavour to the cake we couldn’t quite put our fingers on? But it definitely didn’t taste like red velvet. Presentation aside as it can’t be helped due to delivery and being nearly 20 minutes away, same with the melted milkshake (although I’ve seen other shops manage to keep them cold). Arrived fairly quickly compared to the other reviews I can see on here but I don’t think I’ll be rushing to order from here again. Maybe I’m too spoilt by...
Read moreFood good, driver didn’t read delivery instructions, any other time I order they read it. He did what I didn’t want him to do, twice.
Also, hot milk chocolate in a cold drink cup designed to have a straw with it? A bit odd that. After calling the lady said it’s not meant to be in that cup so probably just an error.
I did explain that my drink was supposed to be different and she insisted multiple times that’s how it’s meant to be with white chocolate but the app states otherwise so it’s a bit confusing.
The description also says it’s meant to have crushed pistachios, I made a video of me sifting out those “pistachio pieces” and well, what pistachio pieces? I realised I couldn’t submit a video in my review so here’s a photo of the “pistachio pieces” my siv found.
I feel like most of the time I’ve ordered here, the food or drinks haven’t been consistent. I’m sure there would be an instruction on how each drink and food should be made/prepped like Starbucks and Costa do, so I’m unsure how it’s routinely...
