Sad to say there has been less unique stools for past couple of years and more of the same sort of stuff you can get anywhere but still a great day out if you have never been or weren’t a returning local.
Having family in the village still and having gone since young, I won’t lie and it has lost some of its appeal for us.
It used to be great and could always find unique items or locally made hand crafted items but each year recently there has been less and less unique and more and more mass produced with over the top prices or food stools which for me spoils it really.
Don’t get me wrong it is still a really good family day out with lots to see and do, our kids still nag us to go each year and they love the fair and the have a go circus not to mention seeing the live birds (ducks and chickens etc) just sad to see the local products made by local villagers being real replaced with stuff you can get...
Read moreGreat to have the Cuckoo Fair back . Parking at the local school means even if you arrive late there's always place for minimal charge . A very well organised event with plenty to see and do not forgetting all the numerous selling there specialitys . Well done to everyone concerned in organising and contributing to the fair and it's good to see for young and old some of the old village traditions going strong still...
