Nice decor and atmosphere, which had been further decorated in an Easter theme which was a nice touch! Plenty of parking around the back of the pub and a lovely doggy shelf on entry with supplies to clean and dry dogs after muddy walks - and even treats! Good drink selection with non alcoholic options available! We paid £11.60 for a single 0% pink gin with lemonade and a pint of Amstel. Gin was nicely garnished with mint and fresh berries which was a nice touch! Both bar and table service was good. Sadly we had just missed the kitchen for dinner, however, we will be returning to try the food another day!

Amazing pub in a gorgeous little village on the Wiltshire/Hampshire border. There was so much choice on the menu, something for everyone and everything was well priced. The service was great and the food was really fresh, hot and tasty. Everything was well presented and served quickly. It was so cozy inside the pub and it also has a stunning beer garden with a range of seating options. Amazing place and would definitely go back especially if in the new forest!!

Lovely place, at least 2 good sized bar areas which are dog friendly. Staff were very nice. Good selection of food choices and as vegetarians there were at least 4/5 choices for main which was great. Had a mixture of small bites for starter (cauliflower pop corn went down well! Halloumi fries and garlic bread) and for main we had feta pizza and cauliflower steak with a super salad and the portion was huge! Would like to go back and try the others too.

We found The Goat by accident actually, when lamenting over the fact that the nearby coffee shop had just closed for the day. Naturally our thoughts turned from a coffee to a full blown slap up meal, and it was then we looked up and realised we were parked right outside The Goat. We were absolutely not disappointed, as the food, service and premises were perfect. The staff were very accommodating of our not-quite-2 yr old daughter (probably partly due to the fact she said "allo!" in a cockney accent to everyone who walked past...we still don't know why she does this, we're from Chichester). Amazing food, excellent choices for vegan or gluten intolerant patrons (I'm neither, I had a heeyoooge burger and loved it), and the prices while not cheap were perfectly set for the quality of food. Special shout out to the free chocolate buttons offered in the children's dessert menu. My wife and I didn't have any of them. Honest. Oh, and the toilets are amazing - I'd have happily eaten my artery-restricting sticky toffee pudding in there. What else...oh very covid secure, with all staff clearly well clued up and very attentive. All in all, 5 stars. I'm trying to think of a downside...oh yes: my mother-in-law thought the coffee was a little bitter. And let's face it, she...

Me and my husband ended up at the goat by mistake. Looked quite nice from the outside. The bar area was nice and clean. We were taken to a table and we was brought the menu and we ordered our drinks. When the drinks arrived we ordered our food. I ordered fish and chips with minted peas. The fish was just right and the chips were hand made and they were absolutely lovely. My husband ordered a burger and chips. We didn't have to wait long before we got our food. My husband looked at his burger 🍔 and the bun was way to small for the burger. There was way to much melted cheese. My husband took the melted cheese out and he only ate half the burger. He said the look of the burger put him off eating. After we finished our meal we decided to have a hot drink so my husband went to the bar and ordered a cappuccino and latte. Some young lad made our drinks and left them on a tray on the bar, there was also a young lass behind the bar and they were laughing and joking and they didn't say our drinks were ready. My husband went up to the bar and spoke to the lad and he said we don't bring hot drinks to the table and he said our drinks were on the bar. My husband is fuming at this point. We decided to leave. We will definitely not be going...

I’d like to begin by saying I have visited hundreds of restaurants in the past few years and today the experience was truly sensational .

We arrived as a family of 6 and from the beginning the customer service was exceptional the young lady tending to our table was extremely helpful and met my pregnant parters requests and questions about ingredients .

We ordered “while you wait “ plates to start , the scotch egg was magnificent the best my brother and I have ever graced our taste buds with. The other plates were top tier too .

The main course consisted of 4 roasts and again really did NOT disappoint .

Not being locals it really is great when you hit up a restaurant/pub you’re not familiar with and it just blows your socks off !

Kudos to the staff and the chefs !!

All my...
